Has anyone had their uterosacral ligaments removed via laparoscopy? My surgeon suspects I have deep endo/nodules on both ligaments. He is proposing removing these if this is the case.
Does anyone know any pros, and particularly cons, of this approach? I understand the major risk is a prolapse, but he thinks this is extremely rare. I'd appreciate any links to relevant articles or feedback from those with experience. Has anyone had these removed and then gone on to pregnancy? If so, what was your experience like?
Many thanks

I've never heard of anyone having them removed due to endo. A lot of us have it either burned off or excised. I'd go for excision over a supportive structure removal, especially if you haven't had kids.

I had mine remobved back in Feb. I was in the hospital due to the pain and they had to do an emergency lap. They removed them because there was so much endo on them. I haven't really had any problems that I know of from not having them. My doctor said its really not a big deal either.
