I was just reading about the people who were having rib and kidney pain and i was just wondering what you guys ment about your rib pain. I was diagnosed with endo 2 years ago and im 19. I dont know alot about the symptoms and stuff like that because my doctor isnt very good. I have stomache pains alot but when i am on my birth control it helps but it doesnt make them go completley away and my doctor said that it couldnt be endo because if it was my pains would go completly away when i was on the birth control. also when i first found out that i had it i didnt know what it was and i asked my doctor if this will effect me having children and he said thats not up to me thats up to god!! I do understand what hes saying to a point but isnt it his job to help and inform me about this kind of stuff? I would really like to learn more about pains and stuff that other people have so that i can understand it better!

First off, do some research here on the boards and online about symptoms, etc. We can try to help you know the difference in some pains and what they *might* be, but obviously we aren't Drs and you need to learn how to listen to your own body. Second, please find a new Dr. Not sure where you live, but there are plenty of Endo sites on the internet that can help you find a Dr. It is important to have someone who is on the same page as you. Third, birth control is simply used to control pain at certain times. It was thought that BCPs could stop endo from growing as long as you are not having a period. Unfortunately, endo will grow no matter what. There are other methods of controlling pain, as well. Diet can be a huge factor. Fourth, endo can effect fertility but there are lots of examples of women who have children and beat the odds. Fifth, WELCOME! Search the site. We're a bit crazy, but we mean well!
