I have been doing something new for the last couple of months after I got a horrible break out of cystic acne. Every night I wash my face with some hardcore antibacterial soap like Dial (I know sounds awful). It's really harsh on my skin and it dries it out badly but I always follow it up with an antibiotic cream "mask" like neosporin or bacitracin (I actually use the cheap Target brand). I put a light layer of the ointment on my face and sleep with it over night. Then in the morning I use my normal mild facial wash followed by my normal moisturizer. Every few days I'll use an exfoliating scrub. I have been doing this every night for the last 5 months and my skin is beautiful! I rarely get breakouts and my skin is always so soft and moisturized. One of the perks of doing this is that it's super cheap too!

That's an interesting idea, Jenaya! I have started using hydrogen peroxide, on the same principle. How do you not get neosporin all over your pillow? or do you put a REALLY thin layer on?

Eh both. I put on a light layer and it gets everywhere. It's worth it though!
