Yikes. I know exactly how you feel. I also have had 2 laps, the last of which was about a year ago. I also think my endo is coming back, and I asked my doc. about having another lap to free up what I think are my intestines glued back in weird places they shouldn't be! He told me he doesn't want to perform another lap for fear of more scar tissue...and he also recommended I try to get preg. if I didn't want to do Lupron....so I know how you feel!
Your pain w/ sex might actually be from a yeast infection (not all have signs and discharge), or it could also be bacterial vaginosis (overgrowth of natural, healthy bacteria). Do you have any fishy odor after sex? If you do, then it might be bacterial. If it is just burning, it might be the yeast. Both can cause razorblade-type pain. I've had them both--NOT fun! Good luck with everything, though--and try to speed up your appointment date!
Oh, definitely request a pH test. The right acidity is key to avoiding yeast and other probs.

Thanks Ouchy, very helpful as always! There is no odour or discharge, but I will definitely request a pH test next time I see the gyno. Unfortunately I cannot bring the appointment forward, but I have to see my GP this weekend anyways. I am still pretty sore, but has definitely improved... I finally decided to chart it and it seems the more severe pain coincided with my ovulation...
hmmm, I guess i will just have to wait and see what the gyno has to say. Thanks again for the support and will keep you posted!

Awesome! Not a problem. A GP should definitely be able to do a pH test for you and also do a slide to look for any active yeast, etc. Very quick and easy test. Also, bring your chart w/ you both to your GP and ob/gyn visit. Explain that you have a lot of pain during ovulation and request hormone tests. Good luck!

Thanks Ouchy, went to the ob/gyno today, he did an ultrasound and a swab test, no visible problems, but given the pain I have been experiencing he has scheduled me in for another lap in april next year. He said that he wants to get in there and make sure there is nothing to nasty going on (altho he spoke in medical terms, this is what I understand he is going to do). Then he also wants me to try a mirena coil (which he will put in at the same time as the lap). I have been reading up a little on the mirena and I am not totally convinced. Has anyone had experience with mirena? particularly after a horrid experience with depo??? I guess I am just a little apprehensive about it all and I really don't want to have to go back in for surgery if there is something else I can try!? Please tell me there is something else I can try! sorry for rambling... just a little bummed here! and still in pain
