Thought I'd share this with you, its a bit of a giggle and full of great advise! It's so easy to feel lost and stuck in a rut with endo and boy do I have my low days but alot of this is very relevant and upon thinking about it I realised it doesnt have to be hard to be happy! (the idea came from a magazine although Ive re written it)
Cull your wardrobe, draws, desk and cupboards.
When it comes to your wardrobe take out all the clothes that are :Dout of shape, out of stlye or the ones you forgot you had! Also get rid of any uncomfortable shoes, if they are a size too small get rid of them! You're feet wont and dont shrink!
In your draws and cupboards dont be scared to send things off to the charity shop, no you DONT need 5 hole punchers and YOU NEVER WILL, also you know you have 25 drinking glasses in the kitchen although only 5 of you live in the house GET RID! If you ever have a dinner party and will need more glasses etc hire them.
Have a decluttered house will help reduce stress levels and make cleaning up far less daunting.
Pretend you're computer has crashed and ring your friend instead of emailing them.
It's always nicer to have voice contact with someone, As hard as you may try you cant really transfer emotions down a computer caple and its fair easier to ignore a friend in need if you're only in email contact. "I sent you an email the other, I was really low" reply "oh did you I never got it" although they really did but just had to many things to do. (normally silly things like wash up) Not only is it nice to actually speak to someone but its also means you stop and really concentrate on your friend.
:DGet up 20 minutes earlier
I can hear you all shouting at me now "Are you mad! 20 minutes EARLIER, yep its official chloe has finally lost her mind"
I havent gone mad, set ur alarm 20 minutes earlier then it either makes you feel like you get a 20 minute lay in or why not actually get up, take a bath, do your hair, sit in the garden and take in the new morning. If you pay more attention to your physical and emotional well being in the you'll feel better all day.
Pay attention to your friends.
Now this one is a tricky one because I dont mean, go out shopping or meet for coffee I mean, look out for the friends that always stand you up and make you feel crap, the one that when you really need them always seem to be too busy. Im not talking about a girlfriend that has only done it the once I mean the repeat offender.
If someone makes you feel left out, or lousely dont have them in your life, distance yourself, if they really want to be your friend they WILL get in contact and actually start sticking to plans if not, its no skin off your nose.
Make a plan with a friend you dumped.
Sometimes things just cant be avoided and if you have dumped someone for whatever reason ring them and make another plan, dont become a flaky friend.
STOP GRAZING YOU ARE NOT A SHEEP (i think)
Stop grazing from the fridge before dinner, or buying bits and bobs from shops just because you can, half the time you dont really need that "cute" key ring, new eye shadow shade, yet another hole puncher (what IS IT with me and hole punchers??)
Plus when you have brought that extra make up bag or picture frame what are you going to do with it?? You'll be right back to having to declutter in 6 months
Get out in the garden
Stop looking at your neighbours and thinking "oh doesnt that look nice" do something about your own, no one can be inspired by yellow grass and weeds. PLus then on the very bad endo days when ur stuck in bed u can at least look out on to this beautiful garden.
Get some nice stationary.
My poor tony has to put up with me and stationary cus I LOVE IT, Im going to let you all in on a little secret, Im not proud of myself and I know its not big and its not clever but I have over 20 empty note books, I LOVE THEM I just love them. I also have lovely writing paper, but this is not in vain oh no.
Buy some nice writing paper, then you can write nice thank you notes, invatations or "snail mail" letters. Its always nice to know that a friend or family member has taken the time to actually sit down and write them a letter or thank you note so why note spread the love and take the time to do it yourself for a friend.
and p.s yes i know i should declutter the note books but I just cant, I love them LOL
STOP WEIGHING YOURSELF
WHAT ARE YOU DOING STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALES, especially with something like endo when you bloat alot and get constipated your weight is going to be all over the place and it only makes you feel crap to know you've put on a pound or two.
Make people smile
It always makes you feel fab to make other people smile.
Do the unexpected.
Do something "out of the box" if you're not a huge cleaner, tidy up, if you dont cook, bake a cake, when I was younger I went to the extreme and died my hair bright ornage and although Ive gone back to my natural blonde if I am feel very low for a long period of time I have been known still to dye a streak or two pink.
Try not to take PMS out on loved ones
I know this is really hard but try not to, think twice before opening your mouth and if you do get very bad PMS make sure you're loved ones understand that you dont really mean what you're saying it just kind of pops out
Forget getting a new fridge, dish washer, cooker on credit
If you want it save for it, dont end up paying more then you'd pay for something because you've got it on credit rather then just saved.
Dont forget about your single girlfriends.
It can be hard to be the only single one in a group of married girlfreinds.
Get silly about your birthday and other peoples.
I always get crazy excited about my birthday and try to drag it out as long as possible normally having a party with my friends and having a different party with my family, this might sound selfish to you but come on its the one day out of 365 that really is all about you.
This year we were really broke around the time of Tony's birthday so instead of moping around I blew up 46 balloons (one for each year of his life) and put a love note in each one. It took him all day to pop them all and he had a great time.
If a friend sayd I need to talk, let them talk and just listen

Lastly but perhaps most importantly DANCE IN YOUR UNDERWEAR
I can not put into words how great dancing in your underwear can feel, it makes me feel like a little kid again, I have what I call my sunday morning music which consists of Jon Bon Jovi, Prince, Dixie Chicks, 10 things I hate about you, Sean Paul, and alot of Motown.
Just try it, start getting dressed grab your hair brush and dance, laugh at yourself, its great!
p.s I would suggest to all that you restrict this activity to the bedroom, Im sure your neighbours liek you but they might not like you enough to see you dancing in your underwear plus I dont want to end up getting anybody sectioned under the mental health guide!!
