Why/how did you pick them, and if you could change your name in particular, would you and what would you change it to? Weeeeee! xx

hi
may i add a bit
i feel quite sad when members use 'negative' nick. i have been to quite a few motivational talk -some i paid some was paid by my employer. i strongly believe that what we say is what we are and what we eat is what we are. so for me if i use nick like DEPRESS...I will keep on being depress. the reason is we will see our nick everytime we log in and of course we need to remember those nick..so if we EVEN THINK AND SAY our nick,it will register in our constious mind and eventually it will go to our subconstious mind. in the end we will be forever DEPRESS.
what we feed our mind will surely becoming true one day. This is funny but this support what i'm saying..since 1998, i keep telling myself and my friends and family that i like indian and will be married to one, one day. I didn't realize the power of what i said to myself and my surrounding..i've date few indian men (but of course i date other races too) but i am most attracted to the dark skin man. so in 2004 i married one. i also have missed an opportunity to study in UK but i always told myself i will sure go oversea to travel when i start working and sure did, i've been to many places i've never really thought i'be going.
thinking back..it's what i put in my mind that i will do..
i'm so sorry for this story of mine but i just want to share and stress a point here...so i guess we need to pick a good name at least. i am proud of who i am so i use my own name -i just don't like the spelling of my name (blame that to my aunt hehe).so whenever possible i will choose names that i like but sure those who will give me a strong identity and good feeling..
peace...i hope nobody will feel offended or something but if you don't agree..IT IS OK..may be i've been to too many motivational talk..

I changed my name from neverendo to AussieBird because the first name was a bit too doom & gloom. AussieBird is because I'm a true blue Aussie sheila and also because I really like Australian birdlife, such as the rainbow lorikeet in my avatar.

I chose erzulie because I was already using it in a few other places and it was easier to remember. The reason why I chose it in the first place is a little longer. Basically I had a calendar one year that said on the first of January, "dedicated to Erzulie, goddess of self-love." I had never heard of Erzulie and thought it interesting that there would be a goddess of self-love (as in loving one's self, NOT as in masturbation as another member of this forum thought). I wrote "Erzulie" down on a piece of paper by the computer so I could remember to look her up. It took me months to actually look her up, and in the meantime one day I was registering for a website and had to come up with a user name. I was casting about for something and saw "Erzulie" on the paper so I used that. I liked the way it sounded and I liked what I thought it meant. When I finally looked up Erzulie I learned my calendar had it wrong! She's more about beauty and decadence--not me! But I'm used to the name now.
I chose a picture of my cat Beau for my avatar because he was the center of my life during the 15 years I had him. He died a few months after I made that my avatar, but I have left it there in his memory.

I picked cherry cos I like all things about cherries! They are yummy, the artificial flavour is yummy, the colours are yummy and glace cherries are lovely looking! The colours of cherries are nice and it is so easy for a cherry to be perfect. They have a nice shape also. I just liked the name and realised cherries are special berries! Ummm actually I was called LilyLoves or Lily before this, as a testament to the queen of my household, miss Lily the cat. I lost my password so had to re-register, couldn't get access to the old email address I was reg'd on. The funny thing was ouchy found an old post of mine as Lily and pointed out this other person had also been on Prostap, took me a while to realise it was me! The only avatar I've had has been the member of the month which I was very proud of! I have tried posting a new one but always pick the wrong pics that won't work. Still working on that! xx

That was YOU? Just yesterday I was thinking, whatever happened to Lilyloves and Annie? They were both nice and used to post a lot. I remembered you both registering close to the same time and I believe you were both from Liverpool, which is why I made the association. I just kinda figured maybe you'd hooked up and formed your own two-person Liverpool support group. I'm glad one of you at least stuck around!
I suppose none of you are actually Annie with a new screen name?

No problem! You can post a little caption under his picture like erzulie has under her cat's picture. Then, everyone will know who that handsome doggie is!

What a cute dog! I love how dogs look like they're grinning for the camera.
I have another story to add, about how I got the new picture in my signature. Ouchy made it for me, and it was her idea! She said as a joke that I could have a picture saying "LesboWithEndo" and I couldn't get over how funny that sounded. I don't know how long I'll keep it, cause I'm worried people won't understand that it's SUPPOSED to be silly. I mean, the information in it is true, I am a lesbian with endometriosis, but...
