Like just about everyone else, I love music, it can be almost like therapy when things get a bit poopy. Do you have any fave songs, new favourites or all time classics. and what artists/bands and genres do you like.

Right now I'm in lovveee with this song by the Sick Puppies called 'All the Same'. Besides that, my inclination toward music isn't very broad. I'm sort of a if-it-sounds-good-I'll-listen kinda girl. However, if it's country or anything hardcore, I'm out. And just for fun, the lyrics to my current favorite song that is on constant replay on my iPod: What you'll do I don't mind... I don't care... As long as you're here Go ahead tell me you'll leave again You'll just come back running Holding your scarred heart in hand It's all the same And I'll take you for who you are If you take me for everything Do it all over again It's all the same Hours slide and days go by Till you decide to come And in between it always seems too long All of a sudden And I have the skill, yeah I have the will To breathe you in while I can However long you stay Is all that I am [ these lyrics found on www.completealbumlyrics.com ] I don't mind... I don't care... As long as you're here Go ahead tell me you'll leave again You'll just come back running Holding your scarred heart in hand It's all the same And I'll take you for who you are If you take me for everything Do it all over again It's always the same Wrong or right Black or white If I close my eyes It's all the same In my life The compromise I close my eyes It's all the same Go ahead say it you're leaving You'll just come back running Holding your scarred heart in hand It's all the same And I'll take you for who you are If you take me for everything Do it all over again It's all the same

You are very cool kb I looooove music too, really can't imagine life without it. I like lots of music but for the sake of brevity and laziness I must say that my fave artist of all time is the wonderful Katie Noonan (Australian), she is BRILLIANT. www.myspace.com/katienoonanAlthough the albums she has done showcase her incredible talents better than the one song on the myspace site. I'm also still lamenting the loss of Jeff Buckley.

I'm just downloading some Sick Puppies to listen to, and Katie Noonan has a lovely voice! I don't know any particular gypsie tunes but have heard a riff on a dance tune and it sounds fantastically energetic, I can definitely get on board with that! I like a bit of everything, but can only say i am a true devotee to stuff by bands, and old soul/rnb motown type stuff. i like things by Pharrell, clever bloke but have gone off RnB big time, have never liked pop music either (except Girls Aloud and Sugababes woo!). I love Damien Rice, Maximo Park,Omarion, Gym class Heroes, Robin Thicke (his song Lost without You I think is still in the American Billboard chart and is about insecurity, something I relate to cos of endo issues), Arctic Monkeys, KT Tunstall, Feeder, Foo Fighters, Zero 7 which is the ultimate chillout music. I tend to be against general popularity, not deliberately but hearing your fave song being bashed on the radio a lot does get on your nerves! Here is the list of songs on my myspace today Rocking Music - Martin Solveig Stand Back ft Sam Obernick - Linus Loves (old Stevie Nicks cover) Home - Zero 7 Numb - Jamelia (Linkin Park cover) Mardy Bum - Arctic Monkeys Running Up That Hill - Placebo (Kate Bush cover) Knock Em Out - Lily Allen Last Train - Lostprophets Bling (Confessions of A King) - The Killers For The Widows In Paradise... - Sufjan Stevens Right Before My Eyes - Southside Hustlers If you wanna hear em my page is www.myspace.com/lily_cherryA song that may be nice to hear on your bad days is Stronger by the Sugababes. Don't be fooled by their name, they are a fab group xx

Try Ray LaMontagne too, his stuff is a little different but excellent all the same. I like Trouble and Forever My Friend. Damien Rice, my fave album is o, and cannonball (album version, radio edit just too pop, ick) is so beautiful it made me cry when i first listened to the words. That album is about being in love in so many different ways. My sis has just smugly informed me I'm into folk cos of all that and the Seth Lakeman too but I'm proud of it, they are very touching songs. It's one thing we agree on! Home by Zero7 is a lovely song too, oh I forgot David Gray! White Ladder is far and away my fave album. KT Tunstall became popular in the US and then came back home and finally made it here too, excellent musician (watch a vid of her performing Black Horse and the Cherry Tree live) and her most touching song is Heal Over. And Lucie Silvas has an amazing voice, powerful but controlled. I love music, could talk about it all day! xx

I heared this song on the Seattle Alternative station on the radio and I fell in love with it... I didn't know who the band was though, but I knew I had to find out.... so I went to the station website and clicked on their playlist. I went through everysong on that damn playlist and listened to each and every band on myspace music untill I found the song... lol that's how crazy I am (I have a lot of free time today, it's nice lol). Anyways, the band is rock... but it's not heavy at all--more acoustic. They are called the Silversun Pickups and the song is called Lazy Eye. If you guys want to hear the song, here's the link to it on myspace music... im not sure if you have to be a member or not to listen...? profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=4292432when the site comes up, it automatically starts playing one of their other songs, you have to click on lazy eye! Tell me if you like!

I found a sweet sounding song called Mushaboom by Feist, it's been on a bed ad and a Lacoste ad here Here are the words Mushaboom
( written by Feist )
Helping the kids out of their coats But wait the babies haven't been born Unpacking the bags and setting up And planting lilacs and buttercups
But in the meantime I've got it hard Second floor living without a yard It may be years until the day My dreams will match up with my pay
Old dirt road Knee deep snow Watching the fire as we grow old
I got a man to stick it out And make a home from a rented house And we'll collect the moments one by one I guess that's how the future's done
How many acres how much light Tucked in the woods and out of sight Talk to the neighbours and tip my cap On a little road barely on the map
Old dirt road Knee deep snow Watching the fire as we grow old Old dirt road Rambling rose Watching the fire as we grow well I'm sold
Its my ultimate dream, to have a happy home xx

Today ive kept good spirits most of the day somehow, but in the last hour the pain has become incredible and brought some unwanted nausea with it. Fortunately i have some wonderful company on my computer. I put some Kasey Chambers on and she has brightened my day. Its funny how songs bout feeling down can cheer you up. I love music, its the best therapy in the world
