Haha, she still hasn't had it! Right now she's at home resting. She's still in the early stages of labor, and it's progressing, but verrrrrry slowly. Her bleeding has increased today and the contractions are getting a little stronger (thought still spaced out). Still not bad enough to go to the hospital!

She had the baby yesterday! She lost the mucus plug early on, ouchy. I think she lost it early Tuesday morning. She finally had the baby on May 18 at 5:28 am, just four hours after finally going to the hospital. The labor and delivery went very well! She had a midwife rather than an OBGYN this time, and the midwife did a WAY better job. She had a son, his name is Max, and he is perfectly healthy (we hope he stays that way)! Her other son who is four is very excited about having a brother, even though he really wanted a sister. I had to be a few hours late to work so I could see the baby at the hospital. She went home that afternoon, and now she's finding out the hard way what it's like to have two kids...lol. I'm sure there will be a quite harrowing adjustment period, but it'll all turn out okay. Hopefully. I can't wait to see the baby again but i don't know when it will be. I am still kind of sad about it not being a girl, but I'm alreayd getting used to the idea of him being a boy and I am sure before long I won't be able to imagine anything else. I just feel so uneven now...one niece, three nephews!

Yayyyyy! Glad the midwife worked out so much better! Did she still have to be hooked up to all those yucky needles and equipment machines? I'm sure you'll get used to a boy just fine! Congrats, Auntie!

Well I wasn't there for the delivery, so I don't know what she might have been hooked up to, but i know she had no drugs. My brother-in-law said that the first time, they were in this really bright room and there were tons of people in there and it was stressful and chaotic and the doctor was so intent on my sister being in a certain position and they were trying to get her to take drugs and it was awful. This time, it was the midwife and two other women, it was totally dark except for the necessary spotlights, and the midwife basically stood back and let my sister do her thing, didn't really interfere more than necessary. My sister even got to pull the baby out herself. So, for any of you who are having/considering having babies, think about using a midwife instead of a doctor! Sounds like they're a lot better, especially if you're into natural childbirth!
