As for my DH and youngins.. I dunno what they have planned. At this point they havent said a word to me. On that note.. Happy Mother's Day to all!

And I have a mother a 1.5+ thousand miles away from me, whom I don't even feel like deserves a Mother's Day card. It always pisses her off that I never sign "I love you" on the cards I send, but I don't feel it's right to lie to her if I were to write that. I forgot about Mother's Day, so her card will be delayed.

LOL. No. You didn't upset me. I probably actually shouldn't have replied if I knew my answer would be a negative one. I hope you have a great Mother's Day, though!!! I hope they remember you!!! I actually forgot about Mother's Day until I saw your thread.

No problems it's nice to get things of our chests...even if that means saying something negative.

Haha, actually Ouchy I think its admirable that you even send a card to your mother, she should be grateful she gets that. Happy mothers day to all the mums out there too I unfortunately was too unwell to go see my mum today, so settled for a phone call. Was dissapointed, miss her and want to see her, and my dad, there about 2hrs away now coz my dads undergoing long term treatment in sydney. But my mother had a good mothers day coz my dad had an op today and hes ok after it, and now theres hope of recovery. Hes been in ICU for many weeks now so my mother has had a very rough time. I regret i couldnt do something for her today, but she knows i love her, she doesnt need a special day

Toootally agree with kb. My mom, I sent her a gift of love. A book I put together with my own thoughts work and love. It took me about 9 months to complete. I put it in the mail on Saturday. Of course she didnt get it in time.. Im on the other side of the world. But I called her and told her that a box was on its way. Her reply was.. Oh you know I dont need anything. You love me and you called!

Our mother's day in the UK is in march, and coincides with the first signs of spring which is always lovely. The meaning of the day in general, and the spring-iness give me hope! I hope to be a really good loving mum, and always give a present to my boyfriends mum, who is my template for motherhood cos she is wonderful. I also say a prayer for my maternal gran who I was told I am much like, even though we never met before she died. Unfortunately I can't even bring myself to send my own mother a text message, we have the kind of non-relationship that cannot be salvaged. So I keep to good thoughts on mothers day, and get lots of fur rubbed off on me by my cats! xx
