and tired of my body deciding that the perfect time to cause me excrutiating pain is in the dead of the night while I'm trying to sleep. I'm so tired today because my pain symptoms decided to rear thier ugly head at 3am this morning! UGH!! I just want to sleep...is that so much to ask?

I completely understand. I was sleeping on my couch because my bed was so hard and the pain. Then I got a pillow top for the bed, still nothing. I finally had to call the Dr and get a sleeping pill.
I had never taken them and it scared me to death. It helped so much, but I only use them if there is no other way!!!
It is really rough when you are in pain and running on no sleep...I understand!

Well, I'm glad to know I'm not alone or completely insane. LOL I've decided that Motrin is my bestest friend when that happens. Three of those seem to help a bit.

Have you tried Valerian as a natural sleeping pill?

Soloray makes a Mega B stress complex plus Valerian (for night time). Valerian is what Valium was made from way back (Don't know if it still is w/ all the chemist stuff done with drugs now.).
(You can buy Soloray in the U.S.)

I'm guessing it's still going to be called "Valerian."

Oh. I've seen it in tincture form, too. I think you can get it in powder, capsule (with powder inside), and tincture.

Valerian smells awful, but the tablets are supposed to be excellent. It's just not the sort of thing you want to be sipping on unless you've got something strong like peppermint or fennel with it! It can be used to relieve any type of headache, as well as well with sleeplessness. My cats love the smell, more so than catnip leaves Do be aware though if taken for headaches a lot, it can cause them so it's best used sparingly in that case xx

Yep. Gave me headaches. And I didn't use a lot of it. I was so excited to try it, then had a crazy headache that lasted for several days. I thought that maybe it was just a headache out-of-the blue, so I waited until it was gone to take any more Valerian, but when I did, the same headache came right back. I wound up throwing my bottle away, and it was expensive. I was sad. My friend uses it, however, and loves it!
