I cant believe it, after a long hard battle with this stupid illness ive finally given in and have had to give up work for a while It was the hardest thing in the world ringing up work and saying i cant fulfill my roster. I am lucky i have one of the most understanding bosses in the world, she understood (especially with all my sick calls lately) and told me to take all the time i need and to call her when i feel up to coming back and they can give me a small amount of work of what i can handle. I go to the doctors this afternoon to get some paperwork filled out so i can go on benefits. Now i officially am a cripple!!!!!!! It seems my body isnt happy with me, ive overdone it, listen to your body they say. It seems ive ignored it too long so it has put on the breaks, im accepting now of the need for rest, and will give my body all the time it needs, ill keep my fingers crossed that my recovery time is short lived. So now, i am also officially very poor

Hey, sorry to hear about you giving up work, I know that feels awful cos you're caught between a rock and a hard place! Your boss sounds really nice, so that's one incentive for you when you go back. 'When' cos you will, as you've said you're recovering and you don't sound like you've literally given up on being able to work again. Just try and make this a good (unpaid) holiday like the ones where you finally get time off and do everything at once! So you can take some time for yourself, get back in tune with your body, and generally give in to what your body wants! Bits of exercis so you can see where you and your body are in terms of movement and pain, and then you can work with what you know, and very basic but nutritious eating cos you have endo and you're on more of a budget now. Remember we are all here as support, and as long as you keep it in your mind that you are off so you can get back to being well again, you will pull through. I think you seem a positive person and that little good thought will keep you on the road to feeling better. Keep us posted and feel better soon xx

Ohhhh kb sorry to read that...but I understand. Just think of it as taking care of yourself....not giving up.
Do atleast one thing a day for yourself. I agree with cherry try to get a bit of excercise, that makes a world of difference. I it daily but it not pain free but it helps my mind. But rest and take care of you!!
We are all here for understanding, to vent, for questions.

I agree with Cherry and Trish . Take this time to take care of yourself and work on feeling better. From what I've read of your other posts you to have to much fighting spirit to give up on work completely. Feel better.

Hi kb! I myself gave up not too long ago. I started the post on sick leave... if you are interested you could add to that one about how you are handling things... I would love to be a part of that support for you!

I'm sorry that you have to take off work, but you are incredibly lucky to have a boss who understands! Use the time to your advantage. A rest is probably exactly what you need, and you can focus on trying things to see what helps you feel better.

Thankyou so much all of you. All of that support is really nice and helpful. Made my day I am feeling more positive today, and i agree with all of you about using the time to care for myself. Ive realised the time off is essential for my recovery, and ive decided not to push myself at all, i will only return to work once im back functioning fully. I havent started exercising yet, but i will, yoga has always been very beneficial for my pain, and i intend to get back into that, im giving my body a total rest first though, as i really am burnt out, to the point i cant sleep well. It will be a long recovery process, but i know i can do it, especially with all you wonderful ladies to support me through it. Thankyou so much
