Hi,
I am new to the board so i will give you a brief history....
I am 29 years old (in Decemebr) I have had chronic fatigue syndrome for 12 years. I was diagnised with Endo about 5 years ago but the cysts seemed to be strangly appearing on scans and disappearing! Major pain started 2 years ago....had relief for about 8 months after changing diet and taking antibiotics (although they are not supposed to help I saw a dr in Brussels for CFS who reckons endo can be caused by a bacterial infection)
so I was pain free for 8 months...then I started eating badly again, and stopped taking supplements etc.
Where I am now: I have bad pain again, I had an MRI which showed on my right ovary: polycystic ovaries (14 cysts) on my left ovary 3 endo cysts (1 measuring 4cm's) and in my uterus a cluster of cells and fibroids.
As I said I have CFS and am unable to tolerate anasethics...the last one I had made me bed ridden for 2 years:(
So I have a major dilemma...my dr wants to book me on for a lap to remove the cysts next month...I am stalling as I am so scared of being bed ridden again. I do want to have children someday but time is running out, my cfs is quite bad still so the faitgue is awful but the endo seems to be getting worse and therefore will make fertility harder. (I also forgot to mention the ovary with only the PCOS, 14 cysts that right fallopian tube is totally blocked due to my appendix op) So left ovary endo but working fallopian tube, right ovary PCOS and blocked tube.
I have asked the dr to give me 6 months b4 the lap so I can try and do everything in my power to get rid of the cysts so If anyone has any suggestions I will try it all!!! My other idea is to get pregnant (well try to anyway which probably won't happen due to all the issues) I have been with my boyf for 7 years now and I am 29 soon so I think I am ready to have a baby.
Has anyone managed to avoid a lap and det rid of their cysts?
I know it seems like I need a miracle but they did all dissapear last time along with the pain.
I am just so scared the lap and anasethic will destroy my health even more due to the CFS...I am in a major catch 22 position.
As I said I am giving myself 6 months then I will have another scan and see if anything has improved I am ready to try my hardest at this!!!
