My name is Kathy. My user name is may because that's when I found out that I have endo. Shew, my state of mind. I'm 28. This posting business makes me nervous, hoping I get it right. Anyway, like alot of you, periods have always been pretty rough but more than that is the ten or so days before I start that was the main concern for me (mental case!) until my husband and I started trying for a baby a year and a half ago. Nothing but an increase of pain half way thru the month worse and worse periods. In May, happily, I was late over a week and had a positive pregnancy test only to begin bleeding a few days later. My obgyn said ops must have been a false positive but lets get you scheduled for a lap procedure because of all of my other symptoms. There it was in all of it's glory. Since then I feel my symptoms have escalated so I've been doing alot of reading on the topic, have done some lifestyle and diet changes and am still trying to realize the mother dream. The obgyn is not too much helpful but I did get him to write a prescription for saliva testing. He also wrote one for Metformin but I'm skeptical on this before I know whats up hormonally. Really at a loss. But Hi ladies! So glad to have found you. Look forward to sharing. Peace.

Hi Kathy! Welcome to the forum! There's no reason to feel nervous about posting, we're just glad you're here! You'll find a lot of people here who are in the same boat as you.

Thankyou Erzulie and you Ouchy for your warm welcome. You said your gyno wanted to write you that script. You didn't take it? Also, for me personally, the majority of my problems over the long term have seemed hormonal, thus the 'month long saliva testing' interest. The pharmacy I may deal with in this process make their own natural compounds ie progesterone creram. The idea is that I'm fertile enough but my levels are unstable enough to kick out a young pregnancy. Thats the short term issue. The long term is to try to get control of this rascal before it gets the better of me. I feel under the gun time wise. So, wondering if you may be able to point me in the right direction to a thread here with this issue and outside sources aswell. I am naive and ignorant to this stuff. But for some reason I'm being led to check out this path. Oh my hold up is out of pocket expense, is it worth it. Longwindedly and thanks.

Hey there - I just wanted to let you know you are in my prayers and keep a positive attitude. Gosh, I know it's so hard alot of the time. I'm in pain 24/7 it feels like and I'm only 25 years old. I just had laproscopic surgery 3 weeks ago and they lasered all the endo off my ovaries and uterus. I have started the Depo Lupron for six months and my doctor suggests that right after the treatment is the best time to try to have another baby. I already have one. She's 3. I'm so scared she may get it one day. I hope not though. Anyways - I noticed we were close to the same age and going through some of the same things so I wanted to say hi. Oh also the Depo Lupron has not been good for me emotionally. It basically puts into menopause for 6 months. Great - I get to go through menopause twice in my life........... lol Anyways - just wanted to say hi. I hope you are keeping your head up.
