Hi Everyone, So glad that I found this board! I am 41 years old, and have suffered for many years with Endo. I had a laparoscopy with a D&C about 2 years ago, with pretty good results for about a year. My pain has been back and increasing to the point where I really can't take it any more. I had an endometrial biopsy done 3 days ago along with a sono-hysto (it really sucked, because I walked in with so much pain!) I return in 2 weeks for results, and to probably schedule a hysterectomy. Trust me when I say I am not a wimp when it comes to pain, but this is getting unbearable. Any time I have to urinate, or worse, lol, I feel like I'm tearing something in my abdomen. Has anyone gone through this?? I coughed the other day, and almost passed out from the pain because I didn't guard my abdomen first. I've done lots of research on Lupron, and do not want to risk the side effects. I feel like I have enough going on right now! Please let me know if you have had similar experiences, and if the hysterectomy helped. I have also been told that my right ovary and fallopian tube are adhered to my abdominal wall, and I will need an abdominal hystorectomy. Any and all advice is appreciated! Thanks! Wendy

Hi, Wendy! Welcome to the forum! You will find that a lot of us can identify with exactly the pain you are going through. If you do a search on hysterectomy here you will find a plethora of information on whether it helped/did not help--and I can tell you that you will find mixed reviews. We also have a lot of info on the board relating to Lupron, some good, mostly bad. Anyhow, welcome to the forum. You might try reading the "Alternative Treatment" board here. There is a lot of info for alternative medicine and everything. Also, you might read the "Progesterone Cream Advice Swap" board. If you haven't tried alternative treatments, yet, it might be worth a last-ditch effort before getting a hysterectomy. Anyhow, welcome to the forum Hope you'll take the chance to join.

Hi Wendy,
I am afraid I can not offer any advice on what you are going through as I have not had any experiance of hysterectomies but Ouchy is right in saying that if you do a search (near the very top - took me ages to spot it)! then you will find alot of mixed reviews about other womens experiances.
Anyway hope you find some of the things you read a help, good luck and welcome to the forum!
