hello everyone, im new here. im 29 and i am a mother of 4. dh and i have been trying to have #5 (my 3 older children are from a previous marriage). in april of last year we had a miscarriage ( my 2nd). we have been ttc for almost 2 years now with no luck (except for the m/c) I have PCOS which is getting worse as i get older. I have been having alot of pelvic pain for quite sometime but i just figured it was from my cysts. i also have intense pain when dh and i have intercourse. i only get af every other month. my dr. has scheduled a lap for april 13th. i am so nervous of the surgery (although i have had almost 15 surgeries in my life) this one is really scaring me. im afraid there will be nothing and ill be back to square one wondering why my dh and i cant be intimate w/o it hurting and why i get such bad pains. im afraid of so many things with this surgery. it is keeping me up at night and i still have 3 weeks! I am going for pre op on monday. im just really freakin out about surgery. thanks for listening (or reading).
hugs, nicolle

Hi Nicolle, I know how your feeling , I had my 2nd lap in Feb. (My first lap was a year ago and they missed they endo) I was terrified that they wouldn't find anything and it really was all in my head. To make matters worse when I got to the hospital they told me it was cancelled, as pathetic as it is I just burst into tears, I was so desperate for an explanation for the pain & exhaustion. Sorry to hear about your miscarriages, I hope your op goes well. I'm sure it will be absolutly fine.
Good Luck

Don't worry so much for the lap,
I'm only 21 and it was my first surgery and was really scared. But it turned out that it didn't really hurt like i though it would. And i was very scared of what the doc was going to say but knowing what you have is allot better then not knowing.
If she doesn't find anything and says you don't have endo, YOU ARE A VERY LUCKY WOMEN!

My first laproscopic was an emergency and so I didn't have time to think or worry about how it would feel. It was my first surgery and didn't hurt. I have since had another laproscopic (emergency also), and a hysterectomy. The hysterectomy was my first scheduled surgery and I had to wait over a month. The wait and worry was worse than the surgery. It is a relief afterwards, because then you know what was causing the pain and verify it wasn't in your head. Even if it's not endo, you'll know what it is and it will help with pain during intercourse. Good luck Lynette
