Okay this questing goes out to anyone that can help me. I just found out I was pregnant about 2 weeks ago. I suffer from Endometriosis PCOS and Have been trying for a baby for about 4 years. I am so excited this happened but at this point I am TERRIFIED!! At first I started cramping like I was going to start my period, but i never did, now I am hurting pretty bad down in my private like around my overies or my cervix. I just dont no if this is normal the Dr. told me as long as I didnt bleed I was fine, Im not bleeding but I feel like I might be swollen. I am just wondering if anyone has had any similar situations. If so please let me no, I hope Im not miscarrying

Welcome! I, too, have both endo and PCOS, as do a lot of women on the forum! I also just had a healthy baby girl! I ALSOOOOOOOOO had all the cramping you are talking about. So do most women without endo! At first, it's implantation cramping (feels like you're going to start your period, probably!). Next it's the uterine ligaments stretching. At one point, it hurt soooo extremely badly that I was wallowing on the floor in pain, expecting that I was having another miscarriage. I fully expected to go to bed and wake up in a pool of blood...but NOPE! Baby stayed on board. I had the ligament stretching pain until about 5 months, in fact! Also, even if you DO start bleeding, it doesn't always mean you're going to have a miscarriage! A LOT of women bleed, and they go on to have perfectly healthy babies. HOWEVER, since you do have PCOS, I would make darn sure to get a series of progesterone tests called "P4" tests. If you have low progesterone, you could easily lose your baby! Request that and tests called "betas," which make sure your pregnancy hormone is doubling--means everything seems to be okay! Big hugs, and congrats!

Ouchy Thank You for your reply! I was soo scared that I was miscarrying. The pain lasted for about 3 hours today and now its fine. It was so weird like right around my overies or cervix was some BAD pain. I went to the bathroom like 3 times just to make sure I wasnt bleeding. I am glad that I am not the only one who has ever felt this pain..!! It was really scary. I had heard about everything stretching but I didnt think it would hurt that bad. Thank you Ouch for your reply you really put my mind at ease!!

No problem! But seriously! DEMAND those tests! Low progesterone is common in PCOS, as is estrogen. I lost my first one due to low progesterone/luteal phase defect. Get it done A.S.A.P., because if you are low, they can give you progesterone supplements that can help if started soon enough. Good luck! Please join our forum! We would love to have another pregnancy success!

Hi Congrats on your pregnancy, sorry you are having pain but as ouchy is saying some people do have pain but better if you ask doctors to check on that staff about progesterone level etc. Can I ask to please share you pregnancy story, like if you are in any fertility treatment, etc also your endo situation like your stage, etc. Thanks and best wishes!

I have suffered from endometriosis for 10 LONG years. My husband and I honeslty didn't think it was ever going to happen for us. I was put on clomid for 4 months with no success. We tried for about 3 1/2 years. I have stage 4 endo & pcos. In Oct. 2007 I had a lap & Dnc. Then the Dr wanted to put me on lupron and I refused!! I read a lot about it and wouldnt. Then my dr wanted to put me on birth control pills that shut my cycles down for 6 months.. I STILL wouldnt do that either. So my advice is before Drs want to put you on meds look into it and follow your instint. I am currently 5 weeks pregnant, having some complications but I'm praying everythings okay.. So this is my question for ouchy or whoever might know. I went to the Dr. yesterday for my 1st ultra sound. I got my pegestrone level checked and it was GREAT they said so thats something to be thankful for. BUT when I was getting ready to get my ultra sound I went to pee and when I wiped I was SPOTTING I was sooo scared then when my dr was gettin ready for the ultra sound I told him and he said that he thought I was fine because there wasnt any blood coming from my uturs. He said that I am really early but he THINKS that I am just having implantation cramps and spotting. He said he didnt think it was anything to really worry about right now.. Does that sound normal..??

First, congratulations on your progesterone level!!!!!!!!! That is the first hurdle down! I remember how excited I was this time around when I found out my P4 (progesterone level) was great! Since your P4 is great, your doctor is probably right...just your little embryo burrowing in for the next 9 months! However, if you are concered, have him test your betas. It checks your pregnancy hormone 2 times (about 3 days apart) to make sure the pregnancy hormone is doubling. If it is doubling, you're likely a-ok...especially w/ your fabulolus progesterone level! And just wanted to reassure you that women even without endometriosis and pcos get spotting, sometimes heavy bleeding, and still go on to have healthy babies! Most of my friends had spotting (and they are lucky w/out either pcos or endo). Wow. A stage IV and PCOS. Woman, you absolutely ROCK for keeping such a positive attitude and your chin up ! Huge hugs!

OH! Conversely, you can get pregnancy tests (or ovulation tests if you have bunch left over or anything if you used them) and take one every-other-day to make sure the line gets darker. This means that the hormone is increasing.

^Those numbers sound like hcg test. You should be good to go, assuming your progesterone is good!

Ouchy, Since you have already been through this, I figured I would ask you another question. Like I said I am only 5 weeks my cramping is really going away (Thank God) -BUT- the problem I am seeing now is I am cramping bad down in my legs & in my back. I read in a couple articles that its normal but I didn't know if it was as early as I am. -Sorry I have asked SOO many questions but I'm just so new to this and just hoping everything goes okay-

Hello. I never had that cramping in my legs or back other than late pregnancy when my sciatic nerve was pinched. You could ask your doctor. Sorry. have to go entertain someone! Just wait. LOL!

Hi 'Guest' you should definitely join the board! I have heard someone say that milk helps with the cramps if you can have it?
