Hi,
Just wondering how many of those who have IVF due to endo have had ICSI (where a single sperm gets injected into the egg)? I know akcheryl had this. When we spoke to our dr she said we wouldn't have this the first time round, but only use it for subsequent attempts if the egg and sperm didn't 'like each other' the first time around (apparently this can happen, where they just don't fertilize for whatever reason - for all people, not just with endo).
Just wondering if we should request this from the start? It seems a bit daft to have to go through it all and it have lower chances because of this.
Thanks,
Sorcha
PS: btw, I haven't actually started ivf yet as my ticker says - I just can't get it to delete!!

We did ICSI; the doctor recommended it because my husband's sperm has low motility. Even with ICSI, we only got one high quality fertilized egg. So, it's probably worth looking into.
Perhaps you should find out how much extra ICSI would cost. If it's affordable, ask them to do it. It's not like the clinic would refuse more money!
