I just got my day 3 results and I don't think they look great, but I was wondering if anyone else has had similar and what they mean? Especially in terms of starting IVF. FSH = 6.8 Estradiol = 2 results but I don't know what the differences are: 104/134 I think the FSH is ok, but the Estradiol is high, but I'm not sure how high. Plus I think it can mask a higher FSH as well. I think these are similar to be last round of day 3 tests about a year ago and my gynae consultant said she was happy enough with them even though the Estradiol was high. I can't get to see her until 23rd Oct though to talk about starting IVF and in the meantime I'm panicking.

scarlett, I just did a cycle of IVF and my day 3 results for estradiol were also high. If I remember correctly, my FSH was about 7.5, and my estradiol was in the 90s? The nurse said it was high for IVF, but that was to be expected for endometriosis.
So, don't panic! Any kind of fertility specialist should be able to deal with it.

Sorry, I feel like maybe my earlier message is a little unclear. What I mean is that the specialist should anticipate your high estradiol level and not be surprised by it. And he/she should be able to work with it.
As far as I know, once I started the IVF cycle, all of my results were in the right range. I think, once they start manipulating your hormones, the drugs take over in most cases.
And, if it makes you feel any better, I have a friend who has normal estradiol but high FSH, and they're going to start her cycle in November.

Thanks for that info, it's helpful. I'm hoping my consultant thinks the same.

I just met with my dr this week and she said my blood test results as described above are normal. She said they were good results for someone with endo.
I don't know whether they are completely normal, but she said they were good and won't impact my ability to go for IVF as all.
