Anyone have this? Tell me all about it. Sounds painful. Mine is a $425 test I have to pay up front for (later submit to insurance) - only one lab performs this certain test. Based on my past and what my new RE saw on the ultrasound (black area indicating fluid, pain when he moved the wand around my left side) he said next is this biopsy. He said he finds that many women are lacking a gluelike substance needed to catch the egg and that this test will look for that...and that they are missing it b/c of endometriosis I guess... anyone hear about that? Thanks ETA - I just saw the Surgeries forum and realized maybe my post should be moved there? If needed pls move it!

Thanks - I checked that out today. I think I will need the Lap regardless. I will keep investigating the test though - that is a lot of $ and I doubt it will be covered by insurance. If I had a Lap and got rid of any endo, etc., wouldn't this gluelike substance come back? Or is it something totally separate that could still be missing even if there's no endo? Hmmm me thinks I need to find out more about this gluelike substance!

I guess the test is just once. I'd rather go right to Lap b/c based on all of my tests, infection history, etc. I know there are adhesions. I just want everything taken out ASAP so I might have a real chance at ttc. I guess this will show that I do or don't have endo based on the protein thingy or whatever they are looking for...
