Sounds really good - would it work in the same way for me as i'm on the pop and dont have a period and haven't had one for over a year?

You could still use the progesterone cream if you're worried. It probably won't hurt. Also, if you don't get pregnant, it might make your period easier--it helps some women w/ endo pain.

hi ouchy..
i'va taken my temperature and it is between 36.5-36.9 ( all these i took in the morning)until yesterday evening it rise to 37.5 but when i use the OPK i got only slight pinkish colour. i also has egg white cervical mucus at the same time.this morning i tested my temperature-it was 37.2. i thought the temperatures are suppose to be higher becaus eof progesterone. i'm not very confident about the opk results.this is the second time i tested.1st one was on sunday.not very sure if i should test again later in the evening.

Hi, denna. I'm not that familiar w/ metrics, but it does look like you had a pretty nice rise. You usually ovulate the day before the rise, so if you didn't test w/ OPK's like every 8 hours or so (sometimes the LH surge is only 12 hours), you may have missed the positive test stick. The faint line you saw could have been either the surge on its way up or on its way down. If you have already had the temp. rise, then you'll probably keep getting negative OPK's, as ovulation has probably already occurred. The OPK's will only tell you that ovulation is approaching; the temps. will tell you whether or not ovulation actually occurred. And you are right that it is the progesterone that causes the temp. to rise. Hope this makes sense. There is a great OPK website with tons of info and examples of tests and which are + and which are -. It is www.peeonastick.com . Hope this helps. I recommend investing in the cheap OPK's on ebay. VERY economical--even for girls like me who have to take about 40-50 tests in a month!!! EEEK!

For those of you who are curious about temping during travel and time changes...I'm currently on another continent, 10 hours time difference from my home. I was able to BBT chart w/ accurate temps. my first morning here and get a clear ovulation pattern. So, even dealing with extreme time changes and jet lag aren't good reasons to think you won't be able to chart! I'm awake, asleep, awake when everyone else back home is still having morning/afternoon/evening!
