Ouchy- if there is already a thread on this I apologize...I searched and didn't find one.
I had my last lap in October 2006 and last month I started to have a little endo pain and this month is was as bad as it has ever been.
If you have had a lap how long did it take for your endo to return? How many of you haven't had your endo return?
I'm just curious to see what is going on with others.
The doctors did say that my endo was so severe they thought I'd be back in a year but it has only been 7 months and I'm a little worried.

Hey, there. I think this is the only thread like this. We have one something about "How Long Between Laps." But I think this is the only one for this specifically.

4 months (confined to bed last weekend as I couldn't stand up).
I've only been on natural progesterone for about 6 weeks, so it will take a couple more months to work. Can't have any more surgery soon, as I've already had two ops since October 06.

I'm going on 18 months, but I have a transvaginal us thursday to see if something is wrong. If they find nothing then I'd say mine is back I'm actually hoping they find something else wrong with me and these 18 months of no pain have been heaven. janet

thanks so much for your responses. I was so devastated when I got so sick with the last period. I am going to see my specialist on June 18th and I think I'm going to ask to go on the pill for 6 months and work on my nutrition during that time. We really want to have kids but right now my body can't take the toll of this pain. In 6 months I'll be 32 and then we can go back to trying or just do IVF (depending on my husband's tests).

I went completely natural after my surgery back on march 2nd 2007 and my pain came right back two months later. Now after having a ultra sound I have cysts back on both of my ovaries. Now I am on birth control seaonique to try control them and hopefully they will shrink if not, then in two months from now I am looking at another lap.
When my mom had endo she had her surgery and didn't need anything afterward and never came back for her. I thought I would try it, that was a big mistake.

Hi Cas3323 - I just got back from the doctor and they said I have 3 cysts on my right ovary (I have only had normal cysts on my ovaries before) 2 were normal and one was not. They have also put me Seasonique and I go back August 3rd to see what the 1 cyst looks like.
It looks like you and I are in the same boat!!!

I hope this works for us so that we can avoid another surgery. Plus I would really like to get pregnant so I need to get this cyst under control.

Mine is back after 18 months. Found a small cyst on right ovary but nothing abnormal as women without endo get them all the time. My covary (left ovary attached to my colon) is the source of the pain. I'm on aygestin daily to try to manage the pain.

Wow reading this is so depressing. I have my first surgery next week and I'm really excited for the pain to go away. But the thought of it coming back or having another one or it being just the begining and not going away is scary! They don't tell you this part of it. They make you think everything will be great after. =( Where are the people that never have it come back?? Are there any?

My pain started creeping back after 1 week, full force by 2. I'm glad I had the lap, though, as they found very little, despite the horrible pain. (I now have the pain under control for the most part with natural methods, so don't let that discourage you).

...man... this is not very encouraging for you as the pain came back immediately and much worse. I'm still hoping, hoping, hoping that some of it is surgery related but I called the doctor and they said they need to see me. I'm four and half weeks post op and still in a TON of pain and needing all the pain pills, narcotics etc. YUCKY!

My first lap was in 2006 and diagnosed with sever Endo. I started natural remedy homeopath in 2007. My pain was in control till 2008. in december 2008, I got sever pain 1 work day and I had to go to the emergency. My obgyn found 1 big cyst in US and give me pain madication. The whole night I could not sleep or eat and went back to the same emergency. They put me on IV and pain madication. At teh same time I started bleed like period adn pain started to reduce.... I felt much better after few more minutes! The 2nd US showed that cyst burst in my right ovary automatically! After that, I had not problem with managing pain naturally with homeopath...
