Well, this is surgery month for me. On February 6 I had a lap and endometrial ablation. I've been having my period (I guess you would call it a period) ever since the surgery....but it seemed to come full blown on Tuesday.
On Thursday I had another surgery (my surgeons didn't want to coordinate surgeries)...this time a urologist was to remove a urethral mass - not specified. He thought it was likely a cyst but as it turns out it was "diverticulum". He spoke with me after my surgery and said he removed 1 marble size "sac" and one the size of two grapes. He said he didn't consider that large - but I sure do!
Anyway...I called the office yesterday to get clarification and all he did was have the nurse call back and say: "we won't know what the make up of the diverticulum was/is until it comes back from pathology....but the diverticulum were not on any part of your urinary system"....
Ummmmm, oooooooooooook. What the heck does that mean? What would you think of that? Besides the fact that the big ol' goober doctor should have gotten on the phone with me personally - what do you make of the fact that he took diverticulum (or is it diverticuli when it's plural?) off of something but I don't know what? Do you ladies have ANY idea what the heck it could be? Colon maybe? The surgery took about an hour and I was in recovery for about 3 hours...had the hardest time waking up. And had the joy of throwing up (TMI) on the way home. I'm still taking demerol on and off. I think I overdid it today - squatted down a few times and feel like my insides are fallingout. kwim? TIA DN
