Well I have just returned from my lap so as promised I will update you.
Went in on Thursday afternoon about 3.30, when I came round in the recovery room I was told I had only been under for 30mins. I just panicked and was convinced I was going to be told I didn't have endo after all. Thankfully that wasn't the case. My consultant said there was some scarring from my previous laser treatment and that he found a large nodual and adhesion which he cut out, and that was it, which I think is a good thing.
The bowel prep was fine, he put me on a special diet 2 whole days before which must have helped because I didn't spend all my time in the loo, just when I needed to 'go'.

Hey, hey!!! Welcome back, and thanks for the update! Glad something was found and that it was excised! That's exciting!!! Also exciting that the bowel prep wasn't as bad as we led you to believe!

Not feeling too bad actually, just very sore and tired! I think the diet he had me on for 2 days before really helped, it basically consisted of white bread and fluids, a few forms of meat and boiled potatoes.

Hi..I"m currently recovering from Lapo Surgery for Endo...Had my surgery Feb7th, 07....Still healing. Was wondering if anyone after surgery has experienced vaginal pains..like a stinging sensation?..I thought I would be ready to go back to work by next week but it no longer looks like that. This pain can be intense and effects my walking pace..Can Anyone out there relate??

hi ababycakes - I had the vaginal soreness as well (with stinging) and it went away after a few days. I had asked my doctors about that right after surgery and they said it had to with the cather they had inserted during surgery.

I had another Lap Feb 27th 2007. My surgeon came to see me an hour before surgery and said, "I know I won't see Endro, you are in menopause now for a year and a half." I said, tell my body that, and I will bet you you do." So in I went, and 2 hours later in recovery, he said, I can't believe it, I took out 3 nodules from my abdominal wall, (my uterus and tubes were removed full of endro 8 years ago, and 6 before that!" ) I said pay up Mr.! But now 3-4weeks later, (very much healed up from the lap) -I have had an attack already, which put me back in bed as usual for 4 days. Same pain, and I doubt if he looked at my pelvic region. I can't go back to see him til APRIL 12TH, AND HOPE HE HAS A PLAN. I have had Endro for almost 30 years, and at 47 and in menopause, I WAS PRAYING THAT IT WOULD STOP! I believe I know much more than my surgeon does, and he is always so shocked by the growth of my Endro, and he always makes me wait a year or longer in pain til he will do a lap, and removal. (afew times I have had some relief for afew years, but pain and same symptoms always back with a vengeance, and I wait til I'm pretty bad til I go back, as I know he is going to say, No Couldn't be Endro! Sorry just a little frustrated today, and as I am a candidate for Endro Cancer now, I hope he told me he tested. I will scream if he say no, no cancer, I got the nodules! anyways hugs to all. Judy

Welcome back Meldart! Glad the surgery was a success and hope you are recovering well and pain free!
I had a lap (and everthing else) on the 8th March - I experienced similar pain and spent most of last week in bed. Last sat was the first time I was able to venture outside the house, but I managed to go for a long, albeit very slow walk on the beach today.
Also I really hope things get better for you Judy and any news is good news!
take care of you all!
