i had one yesterday in hopes it might show somthing that has caused me pain in these recent months, but nope. totally normal, no cysts, fibroids, clogs in my tubes..nothing, which you'd think would be great, i was hoping if i had endo, it might spot something, or at least an ahesion, is endo wre some place that was hindering my fertility.
now i guess it's on to the urologist to rule out IC disease, and if that can be ruled out, i can be pretty darn certain i have endo. iam just sure if i have it, it's a bad case, even if it doesn;t have to do with the amount of pain, call it an unlucky hunch.
can an HSG ever show any endo? even if it wasn't endo i thought maybe something would revel where the pain stems from. it wasn't real painful at all, so iam not not glad i did it, cause i hear it cleans out debris, and makes you more fertile the first few months after, so i hope i get some good luvin lol.
just curious if anyone else here has had that test, and did it revel any endo or abnormalities, that were endo related?
hugs, michelle

No; an hsg would not show endo in most cases. If the tubes were damaged, it would show that. I have extensive moderate endo and u/s, hsg and MRI were all normal. Supposedly, the MRI is the most reliable of these tests for detecting endo w/o surgery, but even so, most women with Endo will have normal MRI results. I remember how frustrating it was just to figure out what was wrong. I suspected I had endo 20 years before it was diagnosed.
