I have been dealing with endo for over 30 years now and have managed to live with it. Over the last year though I have been experiencing heavy bleeding and irregular periods. My gyno wants me to try the Novasure or go for a full hysterctomy. I don't really want to do the hyst only because I won't take HRT and there are usually hormonal issues involved with this. Have any of you had any success with the Novasure?

Hi, bixa. I've not had Novasure, nor has anyone I know. However, I did watch a presentation on it on the local plastic surgery/new health procedures channel. For those who are unfamiliar with Novasure, it is basically a gentle electrocution of the uterus, causing little-to-no menstruation in most women. here is a link on Novasure. www.novasure.com/There is also another procedure which also uses electricity to basically vaporize the lining of the uterus. Women where I live are doing this new procedure now, instead of hysterectomies in some cases. I can't remember the name of it. If I remember, I'll post it.
