Last month my period was fairly mellow, this month it started early, went off and on, and hurt like crazy. I'm even getting new pains. The sleepless nights are unbearable. Oh, how I cherish a good night's sleep.
So what have I done lately? CRY MY HEART OUT.
I scream at the top of my lungs, take deep breaths and let it all out-- force it out if I have to.
And it helped. The crying actually helped enough to sneak in an hour or two of sleep. I guess crying helped release some tension. I think crying releases endorphins or some other chemical that assists in relieving stress, pain, grief, etc.
So, turn the radio up loud or put the covers over your head and cry yourself a river!

I'm 100% behind you on this one, although I dont specifically take time out to cry it sortof takes time out for me...I just break down, it only happens about once every two months, but I just let it out and then take some time out for me. whether it's lying on my bed playing soothing music or climbing in a warm scented canle lit bath, the mix between tears (little bits of soul) and the bath or music-whatever works for you is a potent relief, soothing system.

crying works, but I also call my mom, or a friend, somehow, me just being able to cry to them is better than being alone. Also try jumping jacks, i know it sounds crazy but it works.
sweet dreams to all of us...

Crying is big thing for me, it helps me heal in a lot of ways. I keep everything in as everything in my life is going wrong and seems to blowing up at once right now, so when I cry I can feel hopeless and like I wish I'd never been born. But after I can look at things objectively, learn to love myself again and build my strength up even more. As you said meka it helps you sleep, especially as I seem to settle my mind on things. Thank god for tear ducts xXx
