Hi folks, I'm looking for a little advice.
I had a laparoscopy, which turned into a laparotomy, to remove cysts from my ovary, which resulted in losing 3/4 of that ovary and a lot of blood loss, 2 months ago now
Straight after I had some bleeding, which I was told was normal. Then 2 weeks later, my normal cycle kicked in. I had a follow up with an ultrasound at my gynaes a few weeks later and she said there was quite a bit of swelling and what looked like a lot of fluid where the cyst had been, which was distorting my uterus to the left again.
I have my next appointment next week, but my cycle seems to have disappeared. They used to be really regular at 24-27 days, and now I'm on day 35, I'm feeling really bloated, and, it's hard to describe, but this sensation of pressure in my abdomen, like I'm juggling bowling balls in there :-) plus I've got some achy pain around my good ovary.
I did have Decapeptyl and Visanne before surgery, but it's been over 2 months since my last dose of either
Is this normal??

The issue here was that I had internal bleeding and inflammation around the remaining quarter of my right ovary, and behind my uterus where they had cut away adhesions. It persisted for 2 months, causing enough swelling to push my uterus etc into my left hand side again.
I was put on a course of flaminase (seaprose s) for 1 month, which resolved the problem. Although i experienced a lot of side effects.
I took Visanne for the last 3 months, but unfortunately, although my scans were good, and my markers were down, the side effects I experienced were pretty extreme, nausea (a LOT of nausea), mood swings, depression, anxiety, and my boobs increased by three sizes. Because of this I have come off all therapy.
