I've had endometriosis for as long as I can remember having cycles. So far treatment has been two laps, Lupron, diet changes, acupuncture, supplements... I last had a lap in 2010 and it's time again so I made an appointment with Dr, Mosbrucker. My appointment is in January, I made the appointment about 4 months ago. Whew. Long wait! But I am hoping it will be worth it. My daily pain is just getting worse. And my cycles are terribly heavy and long. I am kind of hoping that I can get both excision and a hysterectomy to take care of the pain and the bleeding issues.
On to pain, it stretches from my lower right hip up to my ribs and sometimes my right shoulder blade. It's constant and some days I can barely function. When the pain is bad it tends to trigger migraines too and I'm just so tired of constantly running at like 30%. I am a stay at home homeschooling mom and have trouble getting out of bed many days of the month. It just sucks. I'm ready to be done with this and get some semblance of healing.
I'm not getting much relief from alternative medicine so I'm actually hoping to get in with s pain clinic to tide me over until my appointment. Does anyone know if specialists will help with pain management prior to your first visit?

Welcome! Have you had your appointment with Dr. M yet? She is really good. She doesn't do much to manage pain, but she has a PA now who is helping her with the pain issues. I see her PA on Friday since we want to hold off on surgery.
My friend is helping me get in with a pain clinic soon, I just have to come up with enough money since it is a naturopath and not covered by insurance. Once I know more, I'll let you know.
