Has anyone ever been diagnosed with microscopic endometriosis? After lap surgery this past August, that's what I was diagnosed with. I'm currently so frustrated. I still have excruciating pain. The only two options my gynecologist gave me was the mini pill or the mirena. Everything increases my migraines, and triggers my pseudotumor cerebri.
Does anyone here have suggestions?
Thanks, nicole.

Hello! I have heard of other women being told they have microscopic endo. This is mainly why surgery doesn't give total relief. They can't see the microscopic lesions that can still cause symptoms. It's really tough to treat it surgically. Medications are usually the #1 recommended treatment. I used to get really bad migraines too so I had a really really hard time with any medication. Mirena didn't make my migraines worse but my body didn't tolerate it well at all. I'm not on any medications at all right now. I manage my symptoms by having a very clean and whole food diet. I didn't believe it would work at first but when I was diagnosed with celiac disease, I was kind of forced to clean up my diet. The endo symptoms disappearing was an added side effect that I didn't expect to happen. In addition, my life-long migraines disappeared too. I'm not saying you have celiac, but just hoping to give you an alternative that's not surgery or medications. There are tons of threads on how to clean up your diet on the board. It's not at all easy and it takes time to notice effects, but it's totally worth the effort if it means you can feel normal again. Might be worth some more thought if medications don't work out for you! You do have the option to try medications too. You never know how your body will react until you try it. Maybe you'll get lucky? Lots to think about! It's a very difficult and personal decision on how to treat this. I hope browsing the board and reading our stories can help!
