I had a lap in Feb 2012. Diagnosed with severe Stage IV endometriosis. All my parts are fused together, but I did have a lot of adhesions removed and a 7 cm endometrioma excised from my left ovary. Since then I've been doing really well and living pain free. The whole surgery was a nightmare for me. My surgeon was excellent, but I was in the hospital for 3 days and had to have blood transfusions. Plus, I'm a terrible patient.
Fast forward two and a half years later. I just had a TV ultrasound done last week due to another issue. The 7 cm endometrioma on my left ovary is back! I can't believe it. I'm not having any pain or anything, but my dr wants to go in and remove the ovary. I'm trying to avoid another lap as much as I can. I'm just not up to doing it again so soon after my last one.
Any thoughts? Should I explore other treatment. Again, I'm pain free.
Thanks!
