I have not been diagnosed with endo yet. But I am pretty sure I have it and I'm pretty sure it is severe.
I am 38 with 3 boys, ages 6, 4 and 7 months. All by c-section.
Looking back, I think this has been developing in my body for a long time. I started having mid-cycle pain several years ago, to where I would wake up in the middle of the night bent over in pain - then rushing to the bathroom to try to take a poo. I felt relief afterwards, but it went on and on like this for days. My gyno always said - mettleshcmurz or however you spell it - where you feel yourself ovulating.
I didn't have too much difficulty in getting pregnant, and in between pregnancies they saw a fibroid on one of my ovaries (I was always complaining of my mid cycle pain so they finally figured on looking there with ultrasound) - but the Dr. said it was small and of no concern.
NOW - looking BACK - I see that there's just been a lot more to it. One time we were coming back from a road trip and I had a "gush" and had to stop in a restaurant and change my pants. I could never understand how it could happen - I was wearing the super long overnight pads because no matter what I did, nothing absorbed all of the blood flow. I had given up on tampons (not that I used them regularly - but even once in awhile) because it seemed like I wasn't putting them in right as there was always blood on my underwear... And sometimes, if I stood up from a sitting position, there would be a spot on the seat from me - even if I was wearing a pad.
So I finally figured out that I am bleeding from my urethra and my rectum when I'm menstruating. In fact, I'm not even sure I'm actually bleeding from my vagina at all. And everywhere I have searched online (besides a few sites) it says it is impossible to menstruate from those places. But I know that is what is happening and I think maybe some of the other people who come here might have had that happen to them too...
So I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem. I have to wait for my gyno to call back or call them back by the end of the day - their systems are down and they can't schedule me.
I also have noticed more of a throbbing ache in my pelvis this month before and during menses. For me, the week or so leading up to my period is the WORST. I can't sleep, I can't eat but for scarfing down incredible amounts of sugary snacks. My bowels feel all screwed up between the constipation and diarrhea... I feel like my intestines are being affected too somehow - especially on the left side.
And because nothing has been diagnosed yet, or actually "seen" it's really hard to get people, like my husband, on board with the idea that what I'm suffering is very real, it hurts very very very much and this is why I am exhausted during these times of the month (ha - MOST of the month) - so - thanks for reading and if anyone else has had this symptom I'd love to hear about it.
