OMG....this issue has been driving me crazy for months now. I had a lap in Feb 2012 and was diagnosed with severe Stage IV endo. My surgeon excised what she could. I had a 7cm endometrioma on my left ovary that was excised. But, she couldn't get to the endometrioma on my right ovary because everything is fused together. I was fine for a several months after. Fast forward to 2013. My period comes on time every month. My cycle has been anywhere from 23-28 days. My period last about 5 days tops, no cramping at all. However, around CD 8 and forward I've been getting this brown, watery discharge. Last month it was enough where I had to sleep with a towel under me. During the day even a pantyliner isn't enough.
I have my annual exam with my GYN on Mon, but in the meantime has anyone else experienced this? DH and I have decided not to pursue IVF, so I'm seriously considering getting on BCP. I'm 37 if that matters.
Thanks!

I do not get the brown watery discharge mid-cycle, but I do get it a day or 2 leading to my period and then the day or 2 after my period ends, and that is down from when I had my lap about a year ago. I haven't ever asked my gyno about it, so I'm sorry not to provide any answers, but I know what you are talking about!

Thanks for posting. I used to get the spotting before my period before I had surgery, but that's gone away. As oddly as it may sound, I actually look forward to my period because it seems like it's the most normal part of my cycle. Besides some bloating and fatigue it's relatively minimal, not even any cramps.
I don't even get the egg white CM anymore just watery. This is actually my second cycle that it's been just watery. It's causing me so much anxiety.

A few things - 1. Get checked for any infection, vaginosis, bacterial infection, etc. 2. Request a hormone panel (assuming you aren't on birth control. If you are, it'll override your hormones so it won't tell you anything). Since your cervical fluid and or spotting are the result of hormone changes, an imbalance can cause some funky stuff to come out... 3. Get your thyroid tested, as that can affect #2. For me, the weird cervical fluid and spotting didn't improve until my thyroid was properly addressed. If a doc is only testing TSH and T4, you're not getting the full picture and a thyroid imbalance could be overlooked.

Everything came back neg except for yeast, so I was treated for that. 2) I'm not currently on BCP or any other meds, so I will ask for the hormone panel when I go in on Mon. Can they only do it during a certain time in your cycle? I'll be on CD 19. I'm seriously considering getting back on BCP. 3) I'll mention getting my thyroid tested, too. Thanks!

I have this too…well, it was worse a few months ago, it's subsided a bit now. I have a 4 cm endometrioma on my left ovary that they suspect is the culprit, but I'm having a lap on Sept 8th to make sure nothing else is going on. Mine was so bad it gushed out - like I couldn't move at all, stand up, exercise, etc without it gushing out. Sorry if that's TMI…I figure we're all used to experiencing weirdness…LOL!
I still get weird brown discharge - it's not as watery as before, but it's still enough that I have to wear a pad ALL. THE. TIME.
I have a sneaking suspicion that part of my issue is a progesterone deficiency, and my GYN has suggested this as well. After my lap, he wants to monitor my levels and possibly start me on supplements. I would definitely talk with your DR about hormone and thyroid blood work!
