Hi ladies,
I remember reading advice on here regarding avoiding the use of PVC products during surgery--although I cannot seem to find the thread again.
I am officially booked for my first lap, and wanting to avoid PVC products as my body is hypersensitive, but I am not well-versed on what I need to tell the hospital to avoid... They need a list of products that I am wanting to avoid and I am not sure where to find this out? I initially let them know all DEHP containing PVC, but they need more info. Do any of you know what to tell them, or good websites for this kind of information?
Thanks!

Being nervous and excited at the same time is normal. take the time to write down the questions you want to know the answers to in a notebook. After surgery you will be out of it so I wrote down all my questions gave it to my husband and let him ask the Dr and write down the answers in the notebook for me.
One question is what stage of endo if you found endo. Where did you find endo if you found it. If you found endo is it connecting any organs
Also Jeneya recommended keeping a small pillow in the car for the ride home and let me tell you I was so happy she told me to do that.
Keep your head up and ask any questions you need to. We are here for you.

Thanks so much for your supportive words and advice re: post op questions.
I am so scared that they won't find anything you know? I'm flying from CO to Atlanta to go to the CEC and he is fairly sure I have it, otherwise I'd like to think they wouldn't suggest I make the trip, but I am still scared to fly all that way and still have no answers :/
How mobile were you after surgery?

I had similar concerns before surgery. I felt really guilty wanting to do it. I finally looked at it from a viewpoint of, something is obviously wrong, and if its not endo they may find something else. The day after surgery, I was able to shuffle around pretty well. I would say that about 3-4 days was when I could do simple things on my own, like microwaving a meal or boiling water.

Emily--Yeah, I do know what you mean--because I can't just continue to have symptoms and not know what is going on... It's a greater concern because I am spending so much money to travel interstate for it, so I just start to feel super paranoid that I am just losing my mind!!! Thanks for the link Wendy!!!

You're very welcome. I was re-reading that thread recently, so I knew just where to look.
