I had a huge rash all over my abdomen after surgery too but I think it was stress related as well as iodine related. You can try Aveeno Anti-Itch cream. It has a menthol type smell but it cools the rash and provides some topical relief.
How many incisions do you have?

Oh how annoying! Hopefully they can get another pain medication that works for you. Advil is much better when taken with food. It can really irritate your stomach. I'm glad the blood in stool has seemingly stopped. It's definitely something to keep an eye on!

A little less itchy and now looks kind of scaly. Gross, but an improvement.

Thanks! Finally got in touch with a nurse who had talked to my surgeon (mixup in the office, they are usually very quick to respond). I haven't taken anything but Advil and Tylenol for the past few days and it hasn't been taking care of the pain since the lap, so they called me in some Tylenol #3 to get me through the next few days so that I can get up and moving again.

Thinking i will be going for one soon as i see a gyn, but that won't be till the summer possibly. Which looking out my window now summer is no where near in site lol. Nor looking at the calendar . Be sure to take it easy and get some good rest....take good care of you

You definitely need to rest up now that you have something for the pain. Also, now that the rash is healing up, you could always use some scentless cream to moisturize the area. Glad something is being done. Just make sure to not push yourself too much either because that sets you back.. Trust me, I know..

Thanks! I'm finding it hard to rest, I'm someone who gets bored on a 3 day weekend because I'm not working! I have a full time job, a part time job, and am taking a full course load to get my masters. So, I get stir crazy when I'm ordered to rest, haha.
My recovery nurse after the lap was getting angry with me because I was trying to get out of bed to go to the bathroom on my own. I just wanted to get home! My boyfriend gave me a Netflix subscription and a Wii to watch it on as a gift so that I would spend some time on the couch, so that has helped.

I am feeling much better, thank you. I just have mild discomfort, my incisions are still tender, and I have pain that feels like a UTI, but the surgeon tested my urine when I was in for my post op and it was negative, he thinks that since he removed endo from my ureter it might be due to that. I am getting my masters in Information Science and Learning Technology, with an emphasis in Library Science. I'm a library nerd.

I am so thankful to have found this website and been able to read everyone's stories. I am having my first lap done tomorrow after quite a while of dealing with increasingly painful periods and starting to have cramping every day even when not on my period. I mentioned my pain to my ob-gyn during a routine pap and she suggested an ultrasound to see what the problems might be. I began having severe pain during intercourse also. During my ultrasound there were no cysts found but my gyn did notice that my uterus is pushed very far off to the left and tilted. This is what made her begin to think of endo as well as my beginning to experience bowel problems. I have never had a problem with constipation until the last couple of months and I have started having pain when I have a bowel movement also. I agreed to the lap because I am not comfortable with trying hormone therapy at age 20. I am extremely nervous about my procedure tomorrow because I am afraid it won't be endo and I will be left with pain and no answers.
