Hi. My incision at my belly button is fine. The two that are down lower have leaked through the band aids more than once today, actually soaking them. I am hoping this is. Normal? I finally took an Always pad and put it over them inside my underwear. I am very sore and out of it and praying I don't need to go back to the hospital?

I would call the doc just to be sure. If they are draining that much you might want them checked out- better to safe and catch something early if there s anything like an infection.

I am impressed. The doctor just called me to see how I was, answer questions etc. I told him about the incisions leaking and he said he put a lot of saline to try and keep the tube, ovary and bowel from fusing back together. He said he is very hopeful that this will take care of my left side pain. Said there were 10 spots of endo but none on my bladder which is good. Reminded me that the first bowel movement can be "interesting" and I remember that from last time, it was awful. Said I may not go u til Monday, good thing I took a few days off of school next week.

If the insisions continue to leak and get a foul smell they could be infected. Keep a eye out for a foul smell. Best of luck in your recovery.

Thank you. There is no leakage today, thank goodness. I do feel worse tonight though, my lower back is killing me where everything was fused. The ultram isn't doing much for the pain, I was near tears earlier. Glad I took time off this week, but I do have the teacher guilt for staying home! Why are we so hard on ourselves!?

Glad the leakage is better. After my last lap my hands and feet were very swollen, when I talked to my dr he said it was the fluids they pumped me during surgery. I hope that is all it was. My hub is a teacher and I'm an OT, we have the worst guilt for taking time off! Sometimes you just have to do it.
