I am so upset and disheartened right now. About a month after my laproscopy I started Microgestin, a week into the pack I started spotting and having gastrointestinal pain along with constipation. The spotting has remained consistent, and I have to wear a pad daily now. I also have mild to moderate pelvic pain all the time, along with constipation most days.
This is the second time this has happened to me when I've been on oral contraceptives. My last pill was Camrese Lo, and it was a similar story. Knowing my body and my history the spotting is not going to stop.
I have stage 3 endo which was excised on October 2nd. However, my doctor said stage 3 and above it is likely there is still endo present it is just microscopic.
Does bleeding while on oral contraceptives also cause bleeding in endometriosis cells?
Is it likely the estrogen or the progeterone causing the spotting?
Is it the endometriosis or some other issue with the hormones causing the digestive issues?
Anyone else experience anything like this?
I have dramatically cut my intake of soy and other estrogen foods prior to re-starting BCPs, and also quit smoking. So there is nothing I am doing at this point to make things worse.
I have an appointment with my doctor on December 3rd, which is thankfully only 1 day into my next pack, so I should be able to switch quickly and easily.
To my doc's credit this is not the pill he initially wanted me on, however the one he prescribed is not covered by my insurance at all. I was shooting in the dark with reps on the phone w/ finding a close match since the only way to get the full drug formulary is via snail mail (I have it now though!).
