Dear all, I have been suspected to have edometrioma on my right ovary about 2cm in size through ultrasound examination last year. (Before the diagnosis, I have done two rounds of IUI and failed and I also conceived naturally and miscarried at 12 weeks 4 years ago). I was told by my fertility doctor that edometrioma is small and should not affect my fertility. So I went through two rounds of IVF, the first one failed with no implantation, the second one failed with Blighted Ovum. The fertility doctor said it is because my egg quality is not good. I read some material and found out the egg quality may be affected by edometrioma due to the inflammatory nature of the disease. Now I am thinking to have laproscopy done to remove the edometrioma and may find other issues as well. Does anybody know Dr. Martin Robbins in Maine, I found good review about him but nobody mentioned about getting pregant after the surgery with him. Any suggestion will be welcome. Or do you recommend any other doctor in New England are. I am in Connecticut and willing to travel. Thank you very much!

Yes, yes! Dr. Robbins is an excellent surgeon, very compassionate and caring. I have had 3 surgeries with him for fairly invasive endo (this after being diagnosed after a colon resection). I sought him out when I thought I had endo on my diaphragm (which I did) and wanted an expert, he was able to remove that in an outpatient surgery. Most recently he freed up my right tube, which was adhered to my rectum (my new regular obgyn was kind of at a loss to explain my odd HSG). We are back to trying to get pregnant, we will see what happens.
Honestly, I would have surgery with him in a heartbeat if I needed another one, he is meticulous with endo and my recovery times have been quite short. The surgery center is great as well. Send me a message if you would like more info!
