I'm undiagnosed (lap in a month) but definitely showing signs. Just wondering if endo pain can move around. Menstruation, the pain concentrates around my uterus. During my fertile window/ovulation, it's more in the ovary area and into the abdomen. Is this typical?

Hi Quill. Pain can "move around" as different things are more "active" at different points in your cycle. But what hurts and why is often a combination of where endo is (if it is endo) and how your body is reacting to it.
Welcome, by the way. Can you put a post in the intro section so we get to know you? Glad to have you!

Hello and welcome! We'd love to hear more about you in the intro section!
Your pain can be cyclical along with your menstrual cycle. Since there are certain levels of hormones that are higher at some points in the month and lower in others, the pain can cycle along with it depending on where you have endometriosis. The pain you are describing however, is actually pretty typical of a normal menstrual cycle. Many women experience ovulation pain around the ovaries and then during your period all of the pain is concentrated in the uterus. The degree of pain however can range from mild to severe. It shouldn't be so severe that it's crippling you every month. That would be grounds for your doctor to show some concern and investigate further. There are some great threads on what to ask your doctor before having a lap. Also there are some good advice threads on how to recover well. They were very helpful for me when I was going through all of this too. Good luck and we hope to hear more from you!

I actually have some questions about pain moving. I find that after my bloating and inflammation has gone down, I tend to feel bruised in my lower abdomen. At it's worst it hurts to breathe deep, or to move my lower abdominal muscles at all. I was wondering if this is something that happens to others?
