Has anyone ever tried this? Have heard good things about it and have done a little reading on it.
Am keen to try it, see if it helps my energy levels.

Hi all,
Sad that i got no responses to this, guess its not too common.
My mother in law recommended this as she's met many people who have had success with this for chronic fatigue, and since fatigue these days is my greater issue it seemed like a reasonable course of action.
After reading up on it, was happy to give it a go. I started it a week ago on the lowest therapeutic dose. Taking it it is common enough to get something called the 'die off' effect, which essentially means that you get worse for a while as the nasties are killed they leave alot of toxins for your body to eliminate, like what people might experience with a detox.
Since ive started taking it ive had more bad days than normal and yesterday was weak as a kitten, barely able to do a thing for myself. Last night i didnt sleep, not for a traditional reason but because i was insanely itchy, all over, always itchy on at least one part of my body. Ive come on here and re-read the info and discovered that a skin reaction is a possible effect early in. Grrrr, i want to scream or in the least scratch the skin all the way off!!! Its taking all my willpower to not scratch and even then every so often i cant control myself, i must scratch.
Ive had a bath with lavender in the desperate hope it would ease it, it felt good while i was in it, but sadly even in the bath i was itchy. This is beyond bearable. I keep telling myself i must get worse before i get better, that this is a good sign, but omg i feel like im teetering at the edge of sanity!!! There are many things i can tolerate, but this itchiness is more than i can bare!!!
Im clenching my fists and my teeth to try and will myself against scratching. On the bright side i feel wide awake despite no sleep simply coz i cant relax through it.
Will keep you all updated on this, and anything else that is a result of taking it. Wish me luck.

I have no idea about the method you are trying, but if you are itching, maybe try an anti-histamine (not if ur trying to get 2 bed tho!) Or, try tying up some oatmeal into a thin piece of cloth (cheese cloth pref.) and when in the bath, use it like a sponge. This is supposed to help with chicken pox anyway... Good luck

Thanks mel26
Will remember that for next time. Its eased right off now, i did a sugar scrub last night in the shower and that seemed to help a little. Plus ive stopped taking it for a few days, ill recommence it next week on a lower dose and try building it up.
Slept last night for like 13 1/2 hrs so well caught up, just pretty weak today.

Update:
I have recommenced the OLE and been on it again for the last week at a low dose, have not had any reactions this time, i will slowly build up the dose after christmas, at this time of year not willing to risk reactions so will stay at the low dose for the time being.
Not sure if its because of this, but its the only thing ive changed, so its either just been long enough for improvement or its the OLE. For just over a week ive been sleeping normally, going to bed normal hours, waking up without struggling to get up (admit this morning and sunday struggled to get up and needed to sleep in).
Something has changed, i can feel it has changed, being able to sleep is a huge improvement, it hasnt impacted on my functioning as yet, but its a very good start, am hoping it means things will just keep getting better from now on.
Even if thats all it does, im glad i started taking this.

Hey Kb not been on here for ages but saw your post and its what my alternative doc recommends she praised it when i last saw her and also gave it to my Dad though i think just for keeping him healthy ... will ask him if it was for something in particular. I have a leaflet on it and it seems great for most things , tastes fine too . As for side effects i'm not sure as i only take it now and then though always look upon most side effects as the bodys way of healing itself most stuff comes out via the skin as i used to be covered in sore excema and now i am healthy the excema has disappeared so it was the inside showing on the outside - sort of thing hehe!! ;D

Hi nicolaxx, thanks for the reply I seem to be going well on it now, have been taking it just once a day, and the last few days increased it to twice a day. I think its helped a little.
