I did a quick search and didn't see a specific thread for side effects from natural treatments. Since I have had one, I thought we should start this thread... Vitex and Cramp Bark - I have been making teas from loose leaves and just linked it to my heart palpitations! After ruling out all the medications I am on (synthroid, albuteral, mirena) and after not having heart palpitations for a few days, I made myself a cup of tea to help alleviate some cramps and it started up again. I looked it up online and found a warning to discontinue use if experiencing this.

Wow!!! thanks for telling us, its a good reminder that herbs are still drugs.
Ive never had any side effects from anything ive taken, but its always worth remembering that it can happen.
I have had allergic reactions to medications because im sensitive to tannins, and have quickly stopped anything that caused that. My beta carotene for example gave me migraines, and ive never gone back to taking that supplement.

This is partly unrelated, but last fall I had chronic colds, so I started taking Vitamin C and Echinacea. I had been taking it for about a month, and had started to notice that my skin was very sensitive, red and burning. It turns out you're only supposed to take echinacea for two weeks or else side effects can develop.
I stopped taking it, and my skin was back to normal in a few days. I still use echinacea for colds, but only for a few days at a time, and haven't had any more problems.
