So... Apparently eating out is no longer as easy as getting prettied-up, finding a restaurant you want to try and going inside....
Do any of you know of any restaurants (maybe a chain restaurant?) that are endo-friendly? I live in the US (Arizona).
I found some restaurants that have "gluten free" options, but they also consist of dairy, soy, and other no-nos that I KNOW I will regret before desert. I just thought some of you might have already found that secret eating haven! ;D

You can google celiac and eating out, afew lists come up. Incase you don't know, celiac disease is a condition where eating gluten makes people with it very sick so there are message boards for those conditions that post alot of great info. I know biaggis has a great GF menu, apparently olive garden does too. I'd just try to do a online search, then go to that restaurant web site and check out their online menu. Unfortunately, eating out is a pain. Some of us on the endo diet allow for afew cheats here and there for special occasions. I just did a cheat and had no issues from it but i'm still sticking to my main diet and saving the cheats for special occasions.

I have the same problems as you, neina. I'm finding more and more GF options, but they're loaded with cheese, cream, sugar, and a whole host of other things that will make me just as miserable as gluten. For a while, I'd just get a salad but without the good salad dressing, cheese, egg, and croutons... would essentially leave me with tomatoes, greens, and chicken. I gave up on those because I didn't feel satisfied. When I can, I now go for the sandwiches or burgers but without the bread, cheese, and mayo or the protein with a side of veggies. If we're going out to lunch for work and I get to choose the restaurant (my team knows about my diet restrictions so they often let me pick!), I'll often pick the make-your-own stir-fry place. I can get a ton of food and just pick the sauces that I know my body will tolerate. Sushi (minus the soy sauce - or substitute tamari) is also tolerable for me. I'm a bit of a foodie and eating out for me is how friends and I bond and catch up. It's a bit of a challenge, and sometimes I cheat, but I can usually find at least a thing or two that fits within my restrictions. It really helps if I can find the menu online and have a plan before I even get to the restaurant.

I find the non-chain restaurants to be a but more gluten free friendly, so sometimes you just have to ask. The taco place in my town does gluten free corn tortillas for tacos and when we ask for them they always ask if it's an allergy, since they will use aluminum on the grill to avoid cross-contamination. I've only been trying this a short while, but I have been very surprised at how many places will help when you ask.

Thanks for your ideas- I think I am just going to go somewhere with a nice salad bar and bring my own dressing. I looked online at the major restaurants in my area and they do have a lot of gluten free options, even dairy free options, but they all use soy as a replacement. Soy is REALLY hard on me, so I avoid it like the plague.

I'm out of town for work and did a quick search for GF restaurants near my hotel. I didn't find any nearby that would work (mostly pizza places, and the cheese doesn't agree with me), but I stumbled across this website that has reviews for various GF restaurants. And it also highlights some of the chains that are GF. Doesn't mean they'll be endo friendly (could have sugar, cheese, etc) but it could be a start! glutenfreetravelsite.com/search.php

I just saw on the news that Domino's Pizza chains are going to be offering a GF pizza crust!!! YUM!!! For the odd time that you cheat on the endo diet, this is going to be a winner for me!
