If you're anything like me, you hate being laid up. It's only my 3rd day after surgery, and I want to be much more up and about than I am. Something that has helped me is to prepare small meals. Smoothies, soup, little things that don't take much effort. Today is the first day I'm having a solid breakfast. Oatmeal with peanut butter and bananas. A delicious gluten free treat! I've been watching a lot of movies and TV series. You may find it helpful to pop on a disc of Sex and the City or some other hour long TV show. 1 disc should last you about 4 or more hours without having to move too much. At my house, we still have a lot of old VHS recordings that have 2, 3, or 4 movies on them. Most of them are from when I was a kid. Today I'm gonna start off with Flubber and A Little Princess. Don't ask why those are on the same tape. Oh, and if you're experiencing a lot of internal stomach pain liek I am...peppermint tea! Very soothing.
