Hi all So it seems there are lots of things I can try, to help my endo. But where do I start? There's chinese herbs, acupuncture, homeopathy, naturopathy, etc... does anyone feel that one of these is a better place to start? I'm not going to be able to plunge into all of them... Thanks for any thoughts...

Hmmmm, open a can of worms I dont know if there is a better place to start, just maybe what u feel comfortable with. For me i saw a naturopath first, and that kind of put me on the path i needed to go. At the moment im doing things on my own, ive done alot of reading and am trying a combo of herbs and supplements, and adding and deleting as needed. I also use yoga and hot baths (with lavender oil). Im also making some diet changes, not too aggressive yet, but keeping all my food as unprocessed as possible. Ive considered trying acupuncture, but would like to give my current management a whirl first. Do some reading, especially through these threads, but elsewhere on the net too. There are some great books out too that can help u decide. Its really an individual choice, im sure they all work, probs a combination is the key, just gotta find what suits u best, as were all different what works for one may not work for another.

Yes. Please check out the threads in the "Natural Treatments" section. You'll find a lot of advice.

I think the easiest way to get into it is to think about what would be most basic and beneficial to your body first, like that healthy eating you were always meaning to start or the meditation you always wanted to try out. You can slip into good habits from there! I was a bit overwhelmed with everything that I could do besides all the chemicals I was stuffing in as pain relief. I didn't even really take notice until I realised things weren't going too well with my treatment. I started with trying to get 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, taking a very good multivitamin and getting back on my evening primrose which is good for all women we know! Drinking more water, cutting down on refined sugar and caffeine and then getting into supplements and adding good foods to my diet while cutting down on stuff that isn't really nutritions. And now I have my lavender oil which I always warm up in the oil burner before bed, and have a little sit and think about my day so I can box off my thoughts. I've also gotten back into Christianity cos of other stuff I have going on, it helps me put things in perspective, cos I couldn't get to grips with that by myself. I'm just that kinda person and it won't work for everyone obv cos we don't all need faith. But I don't look to my faith for answers about endo cos I've come to terms with it and just want to help my body cope with it. Hope that helps, I think my way was very basic cos I was relatively unhealthy and a stress magnet before! xx

Thank you! I know I should be eating better and exercising... not sure why I can't seem to go for it. I'm feeling inclined towards trying chinese herbs. Have started taking EPO again. I've heard parsley is good for womens stuff, I wonder if anyone has had any experiences. I am agonising over the cutting down on sugar thing!!! Ouch. I'm into Christianity too and it is a huge help with the important stuff. Hey - let me know if you want me to pray for you.
