You can get it from a healthfood store, eBay (if you're brave), or order it online. (You can find a thread about buying Pro-Gest from eBay in a thread entitled "Progest for a Good Price!") The brand my homeopath recommended Pro-Gest by Emerita. They now have a paraben-free version if you're freaked out by synthetic estrogens. Emerita's link for progesterone cream is www.emerita.com/pages/menopause/pro-gest-paraben-free.asp?find%5Fcategory=&find%5Fdescription=&find%5Fpart%5Fdesc= (paraben-free version). Also, make sure you ovulate before you take the cream--or else it can delay ovulation.

You can also get it custom-made from a compounding pharmacy. I have always heard this is the best way to get it though I have never heard why. You could ask your doctor about it.

I think gynecologists usually use compounded progesterone suppositories for women who are pregnant and have low progesterone.
My gynecologist recommended just regular progesterone cream from the store to help w/ lengthening my cycle/endo stuf. Maybe they use compounded progesterone mostly for other issues than endo? Not sure. If you do ask your doc, michelle, let us know!

Michelle, please read the threads re: progesterone cream and benefits, etc. in this same forum. I thought you were asking where to buy the cream and what brands to buy, because that was pretty much the title of your thread/this thread!

I don't know of any risks, but you have to use it right. Like ouchy said if you read other threads you will find out how well it works for different people and how to use it!
