I am beginning to love my Gynocologist! I had an appointment 2 weeks ago and he instantly suggested endo - more specifically intestinal endo - and I have just received my lap date. December 30th! This lap is considered investigative and he is also doing a D&C. From there if there is endo he will schedule another lap (not to fond of this idea) to take care of any endo found. I'll update after my lap!! Oh and Happy New Year to me! Guess I'll be a bit high

YAY!!!
I'm just wondering why he wouldn't address the endo the first surgery. Did he have a reason?
Getting answers feels good though!!!

Mine is scheduled for the 21st... hopefully I'll be better by christmas. Seems to make the most "sense" to do it around the holidays but I don't want to miss out too much! Good luck

I actually had mine on Dec 22nd 2009, and was making xmas dinner lifting turkey in and out of oven. In hindsight I should have said 'Yes please' when my mother asked if I wanted some help in the kitchen but I'm too much of a superwoman to accept! Anyways what I mean is you can still enjoy a very nice Christmas, but try not to overdo it!

Good news! I, too, am questioning his desire to do it in two phases. Can you press him on it, see if he can plan to remove anything he sees? Or are you in a part of the world where this is normal practice?
Whatever the case, I'm glad he's working toward helping you find some answers!

Thanks ladies!
I can only assume the reason for only doing an "investigation" and then another lap as required is because of operating room time. Meaning, book the 30 mins to do the lap and if there is anything that needs to be done booking a second lap with more time as required. I am also assuming that this may be the hospitals policy.
Trust me, I'm not happy about the idea and when I asked the nurse about it she stated that this is common practice.
I live in Ontario Canada.

Oh and I will be asking if he intends to remove anything but I would think that if he does it will be for pathology reasons.
