I have been taking Zymitol (enzymes like Vitalzym) for 2 months but so far my monthly pain has not been reduced. When I spoke to the manufacturer of the product they said I should get relief within a week. I really want to stop taking painkillers as I know they're not helping my health/fertility. I currently take cod liver oil and prenatals but I get no improvement in the pain month to month. Suggestions? Claire

Zymitol instead of NSAIDs would probably be completely different, as one is for digestion and the other is for reduction of inflammation...?
I'm not really sure how the enzymes would reduce your pain better than an NSAID. I don't really know that much about using enzymes for pain reduction, though. Sorry I can't be of more help.

According to Carolyn's info. on the site Zymitol will dissolve old scar tissue and reduce cellular damage which would mean less pain. I can't find the article right now but it was also off the website discussing the use of enzymes in Europe as alternatives to NSAIDS. Anyway that's where I got it from and it sounded promising so I thought I'd try it. I'm looking for anything I can take so I don't have to take as many painkillers.
