I don't do the fasting thing..I am also quite thin (not underweight but thin)...I still have no pain!...my periods are now getting shorter..I now ovulate every month and my system seems to be working properly. My cysts have shrunk, my ca125 is still in normal range. I still get fatigue from time to time but I can't expect a total miracle!
I am due another scan in 2 months time so I will keep you all updated..my fingers are crossed that I can still manage to avoid a lap!!! Shrink cysts shrink!!!

Congratulations. I am so happy for you. i am following a similar regime. I was just wondering how long it was after you started the diet (and supplements, too, but mostly diet) before you started noticing a difference? I just started 2 weeks ago, so I am still a newbie and need some hope!
Thanks.

Hi, I wrote the last message. For the last 3 weeks i have been following to a T the endo diet. No wheat, dairy, refined carbs, caffeine (never had it anyway) chocolate, etc. Plenty of flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, legumes, veggies and fruits and only organic meat.
I just had my 2nd sonogram yesterday. In a 3 week period my endometrioma cysts have DOUBLED IN SIZE. I don't get it. I thought if anything that they would not grow that much in 3 weeks. It's weird. The last time in had endo it took them months to grow to this size.
Any advice?

^ Are you close to getting your period? Maybe the chocolate cysts doubled due to hormones? I have no idea.

Just to let you all know I have now had another 2/3 cycles bringing total to 5 or 6 cycles and still I am pain free:)
I could be a fluke but I doubt it because I went on this diet a few years ago and the pain all went,... then I got bored and went back to eating normal diet leading me to hospital agin with terrible pain.....I am gonna kep this diet up forever! (well if I get pg I will probably dump the diet then and of course I won't take herbs or supps except folic acid)

About 6 months later....still no pain and cysts have all gone except for one!!!!!! My main diet is now wholegrain oats for brekkie with seeds and flaxseeds etc, and natural foods..I have a prob with wheat, dairy, tomatoes, potatoes and cocoa and since cutting them out I think it has made a huge difference. I have cut down my supps to Vitamin C 1000mg (buffered non acid form) to 1 with every meal, I take a multi mineral only now, I also take enzymes and probiotics still. I am totally pain free!!

I have just read the person't post whose cysts have doubled.....I doubt it was the diet that caused it as nothing can have an affect that quickly.....I would keep going unless you really do start to feel worse...Are you taking any supps at the mo?
I would think that the first sonogram you had done or the second one wasn't quite accurate..I have had this happen to me b4

I haven't been diagnosed yet, but I found that reducing my wheat intake has helped alot on its own. I also avoid dairy, stopped drinking sodas - only juice and water - and I haven't had much pain in between periods... not like I used to!

Hi All, It has been a while since I last wrote and I want to keep you up to date with my health.
Well, I still avoid tomatoes, potatoes, cocoa, dairy and wheat. I eat lots of oats, apples and fruit juices, I still eat nuts and omega 3 rich foods and fish.
I am still totally pain free!!!! I have ammended my supplements as no I am feeling better and my energy is great, I think it is importnant to cut down on the supps. I now take the following..
Lamberts high potency multi mineral (2 a day) Bio care Vitamin C 1000 mg with every meal (so 2/3 times a day) Folic acid 400ug 1 a day Selenium 100ug B12 sublingual 5mg 1 every 3 days. Enzymes (combizym only with heavy meals) VSL 3 2 sachets a day.
I no longer take calcium-d glucarate or the herbs agnus castus and licorice root but I have them on hand if the pain ever returns.
If you do cut out any food groups make sure you replace them with other foods. I eat lots of wholegrains that aren't wheat based and I eat lots of Veg and I do eat a lot of meat for protein. This has totally worked for me and I truley feel well again!!!
