Hi Keri Yes I do feel a little better about my mom having proof, but sometimes it can be a little frustrating that I feel like I constantly have to prove my endo to her... it can't just be a one time thing. She's always skeptical until after every surgery and every doctor's appointment when she hears the words "your daughter has endometriosis" and then it's like she believes it... for a little bit but then she get skeptical and needs proof again later. If that even makes any sense! I don't get kidney stones! I have no idea why there was blood in my urine. I'm having a great time being single, it's just what I needed. My cute little puppy is holding me together, too Although I'm a little troubled by the fact that I'm coming down with a cold!

I'm totally on an IC kick right now, but I have had blood in all of my urine tests and got told it was nothing. It isn't nothing, its called Intersistal cystitis and blood in the urine is a big red flag! What I didn't know is that IC may need the hydrodistention with cystoscopy to see it, so maybe ask about that and see if you can get it done sometime. But you can help yourself a little while you wait if you cut out the list of no-no's or "forbidden foods" on the IC diet.

Thanks Karla! Do you think I should ask Dr. Redwine if he could do that during my lap? Like is it easy to add something like that in or should it be scheduled on its own?

Mine was during the lap? I don't know if he does it though. Dr. Mosbrucker is a urogynecologist so she was able to do the test during the lap. I would at least ask about it?

I got an email from Dr. Redwine today, he says my symptoms might indicate endo invading the bladder, or at least irritating it, which is actually easy to fix laparoscopically. Yay!

So glad he's going to look at it, Jess. Did you ask specifically about the IC?

Nooo I didn't. I had planned on it but what happened was the woman at his office told me that she's who I should speak to, so I told her about it and was going to wait for her response before I asked about IC because I didn't want to over-ask (in case IC was part of her answer) but she just emailed me back saying that she forwarded my message to dr. redwine and copy & pasted his response. So I didn't get the chance. No matter though, I'm certain now that he's going to look into my bladder situation, and I don't think a specialist like him would miss something like IC?

jess - He is skilled in removing endo if it is on the bladder (external) and ureter. But, as far as IC, I don't think he will offer you much of treatment. So, IC is more like a urologist's thing. IC is the internal part of the bladder and treated with wash outs, botox injections, and stuff.
My uncle is a urologist, which is how I got to know about Dr. Redwine through his skills and expertise and testimonials. I had bladder involvement too, yet I never complained about problems with urination. No dysuria (burning), pyuria whatsoever.
I used to want to go into urology, really cool field. But, endo made me go int something else.

Welllll..... just brief update.... I am 6 days off of nuvaring (we have to stop birth control 1 month prior to surgery) and yesterday all of my symptoms came flooding back. Today hasn't been pretty either. I hope this isn't how it's going to be all month! :/

Can't believe how fast time has flown. My brother and I arrived in Bend yesterday and are at my parents' house now. My pre-op appointment is tomorrow and my surgery is Tuesday! Aa! I'm starting to get a little nervous, but mostly I'm just looking forward to getting it out of the way and having all of this be done with! : ) I will tell you all how the pre-op goes tomorrow. I know it's terrible, but.. my number one priority?? Asking him how soon I can have SEX!!!
