Although I couldn't call myself a big fan, I find the sudden death of Amy Winehouse so tragic. She was a great talent.
RIP x

I'm listening to her music right now. It's hitting me pretty hard. We were the same age. Such sad news. She was such a talent.

I'm gutted! Loved Amy's music, and a massive fan of her talent. Im so sad by the news.
Had a bit of a "heated debate" (Mrs Merton reference for the Brits there!) at work. Some people were saying that she deserved what happened to her, but I got on my soap box....as usual! Amy had serious mental health problems first, and like some people with serious problems took drugs. Unfortunately she never managed to fight it because it was an illness that completely dominated her. Mental Health is totally under-recognized in this country, and treated with the old "pull yourself together" mantra.
Even if people have no sympathy for Amy, she still had family that loved her, and when anyone passes it's those left behind that have to suffer.
I think it has actually upset me more than I thought. I'm not a celebrity fan (haven't got much time for any of them), but I just think it shows that for some people money, success, and fame aren't enough to buy any kind of good healing. I just really hope she has found some peace and that she is remembered for her music and talent, not being drunk and under the influence.
God bless Amy xxx

I just think it's a tragic loss of a young life. It's sad, whichever way you look at it.
