Yeah, I put it down to water retention. Up and down all the time for no good reason!

I don't think it's necessarily the endo itself that causes weight gain, but there are a lot of other factors into play when you have a chronic disease. First off, the hormonal imbalances that can come with endo can be a big cause, and if you're on any hormonal treatment or other meds, they can often impact weight. In addition, when your body is under stress, it causes some organs to work in overdrive to keep up, which can then throw off the balance in your body. It's all connected!
Oh, and to top things off, a lot of women with endo have many food sensitivities or allergies, so certain foods can make us bloat up (or have more pain, or have headaches, or have GI issues, etc.). Not fun and it's not fair!

I've gained at least 10 pounds if not more since starting new bc because of my endo. It's beyond frustrating especially lately.

I've recently lost 31 lbs with Weight Watchers, but now that the pain has gotten so bad I'm not losing... just staying the same. I write that off as lack of exercise. I don't know how I'm supposed to exercise when I'm so freaking uncomfortable!
I also have a huge fear of weight gain once I go on birth control. I've worked hard to lose the weight and don't want to gain a single ounce back! I want to continue to lose weight even on birth control *sigh* And the sad part is that I don't even need birth control because I have my tubes tied, but if it keeps endo away I guess its necessary.

I figured out that between 2006 when I went OFF the pill, and 2011 now, I have gained and lost 45 pounds. I was heaviest on the pill, but changing diet, surgery, stress, etc have been a ROLLERCOASTEr. so hard to stay positive when you are a giant balloon! even a few pounds makes a huge difference....

I swear my boobs and everything else lost several pounds biking home today. the weather is RIDICULOUS. Maybe I should try biking around in 100 degrees and 100% humidity next time I'm bloated completely to a puffball.
